curious how Levi Haines who just beat the #1 ranked wrestler gets seeded. He is so talented and sure performs well in clutch moments!!
Intermat Rankings have O’Connor from UNC #1, Haines #2, and Robb #3. Be interesting if the seeding follows the rankings.

We'll know soon enough..Josh Humphreys from Lehigh is undefeated. Andonian will be a tough out as well.

Yeah, they and WIN Magazine are a bit far off in some weight classes. 157 is one of them. We'll see which one ends up being closer to reality tonight.

Those aren't the rankings that count -- the coaches' poll is the one used toward seeding criteria.

Final coaches poll not yet released. Last one had Levi 8. I would be surprised if he leapfrogged an unbeaten Humphreys (4th last week) with the coaches.

Levi will be in the 2-4 range. 2 or 3 doesn't matter, just avoid O'Connor for as long as possible.

Like to see O'Connor 1 and Robb 4. I think Levi matches up well with Humphries. Andonian 5 would be a bonus.

Refresher on the seeding process:

NCAA uses 7 categories, weighted for a max score of 100:
- H2H (25)
- Quality Wins (20) **
- Coaches Rank (15)
- Conference Finish (10)
- Common Opponents (10)
- Win % (10)
- RPI (10)

** QW is wins over national qualifiers. BUT this isn't # wins -- includes a strength of schedule factor. Example: beating Cass > beating Orndorff.

Seeds are determined via a simulated 33-man round robin, with each sim match scored using these criteria. The wrestler who goes 32-0 in sim matches gets the 1. 31-1 gets the 2. Etc.

Without having the final coaches poll or RPI yet: O'Connor will be the 1, after that get out the Magic 8 ball.

Levi might lose the sim match to Franek due to Common Opponent and/or Quality Wins. Franek lost to Robb but beat Zerban 3x.

But Franek likely loses the sim match to Robb, thanks to H2H.

Humphreys is ineligible for an RPI (too few matches), so his seed vs. Levi's will likely come down to the coaches poll.

Etc.

Heads hurt yet?

BTW, don't be surprised if Brooks gets the 3 seed.

Aaron is ineligible for an RPI -- too few matches. So he loses 10 sIm pts to both Keckeisen and Hidlay. And he loses the Win % category to both -- all 3 have 1 loss, but Aaron has the fewest matches.

He also loses Common Opponents to Keckeisen (Coleman). Ties Hidlay in this category.

Aaron will be the Coaches 1. The committee could (and should) overrule the sim and make him the 1 ... but that doesn't mean they will.

Biglerville taught him well. Although I know someone who went to school with him, and he states Levi didn't wrestle high school his senior year. Traveled around and wrestled.

There are quite a few top 10 guys that don't qualify for rpi. Could be some interesting seeds.

Not sure where this falls into place so forgive the switching gears. Early predictions.
Prior to the seeds released I’m going to guess three champs (RBY Cstar Aaron) a second (Kerkvliet) a third (Levi) a fourth (Dean) and two other AAs.

I believe he spent most of the year at David Taylor's M2 Club in State College

Beau Bartlett is No. 6 at 141. Keeps him off top seed Real Woods’ side of the bracket until a potential finals matchup.
