It’s been all about the money for years. This isn’t new. PSU is probably behind the sponsor game as they held out longer than others. The folks that will complain about the sponsorship of the stadium and field will be the same ones that complain about the cost of the renovations, PSU being behind in NIL funds, etc. We can’t have it both ways. Either we are in or we aren’t.Its all about the $$$$ now
How'd you miss those? I'd guess $9000 of their $12,000 tub replacement cost is in advertisingI had never heard of them until a couple of years ago...but seems that they've really increased their advertising budget the past few years, as I see their name/logo more and more.

Believe the original reference is to Amica, the insurance company. Look to the lower right hand corner of the picture. How'd you miss those? I'd guess $9000 of their $12,000 tub replacement cost is in advertising
Exactly, we're talking about Amica. I've still never heard of West Shore Homes outside of this sponsorship (though it's possible they aren't in my market).Believe the original reference is to Amica, the insurance company. Look to the lower right hand corner of the picture.

Funny you should say that.....about 2 or 3 weeks after the deal was struck I stopped at my bank which is in a shopping center on the munipal border of Evesham Twp and Mt. Laurel, and there and behold was a West Shore Home truck - and the two guys were inside of it eating lunch.Exactly, we're talking about Amica. I'm not...I've never seen a truck, store, advertising, etc. And now that I know who they are, I'd notice it (though wouldn't have up until 6 months ago). There was a time when Power Home would stop at my house at least 4x a year, but thankfully that's ended.Funny you should say that.....about 2 or 3 weeks after the deal was struck I stopped at my bank which is in a shopping center on the munipal border of Evesham Twp and Mt. And you are not that far from that area, I believe.
I may have seen their trucks in the past, but never paid attention to them.
Well said. You need extreme upper level revenue to compete nowadays. Unfortunately, a number of us have not accepted that PSU football has been a big business revenue generator for decades. We do it better than most in terms of the emphasis on academics and the development of young men, but it’s essentially been NFL minor league at PSU since the 1980s.It’s been all about the money for years. I've used them as my home/auto insurer for many years. Their service was always very good until recently. The most shocking aspect on the rare occasion I had to call their 800 number a human in my closest office would answer the phone. That has now changed to the usual phone tree and national call center, which probably coincides with the service getting worse. But they've done well in paying the couple of claims I needed with little hassle. Here in TX my roofer mentioned them as one of the 3 easiest insurance companies for them to work with.I had never heard of them until a couple of years ago...but seems that they've really increased their advertising budget the past few years, as I see their name/logo more and more.
Nobody pays attention to your posts.I put it in the September Articles thread earlier today.

They seem to be nothing more than an aggregator. You contact them and they just source local contractors to do the work, and take their cut. You'd be better off just hiring contractors directly.Does West Shore have a consumer review page that shares the quality of work this business does? I would love to purvue it.
I'm not positive, but that's the sense I have gotten. I actually never heard of them until the sponsorship announcement. Since then I've noticed some of their online ads on various social media sites, and I'm in Texas so nowhere near the region they seem to be based in.Well. I was just wondering what their field of excellence was. Aggregator...hmmmm.
