Now that the new AP poll is out, where UK is ranked by different outlets

Huge problem with KenPom now. The early season rankings are heavily influenced by the prior year results. Eventually those are weened off but with the absolutely massive roster turnover now, it doesn't make sense to use any stats from the prior year. Duke at 5 and UK at 22 after 3/4 games should have us sqaurely ahead of them.

Again the CBS power rankings were only for that week. We had the number two flex for last week, after only Auburn beating Houston.

The problem with KenPomPom is he uses fake numbers. Doesn't matter if they last year's. They were fake then too.

KenPomPom is a pace analytic. He doesn't count offensive rebounds as a possession because it makes the pace look faster. Which it does. So if o9nly looking for pace then KenPomPom is your guy. If you are looking for how good or bad a team is, he is not it.

You know it going to be really difficult to give us a fair ranking come March! We play
Gonzaga, Auburn, Alabama x2, tenn x2, and don't forget the elite NBA team down by the Ozarks.
Plus all the other sec teams! Thats 7 of 10 top ten teams, if we count duke. Which I believe they belong.
My point being, I expect us to drop some games along the way! So if we let's say are 24-8, we should still be better then some of these 28-4 teams. But I assure you come seeding time we will be punished!

Yeah, as others have said, KenPom is not accurate right now and it is clearly an outlier for UK right now. I'm not sure exactly how he comes up with his initial rating but I'm pretty sure it's based on last year's numbers, which are pretty much completely meaningless when it comes to this UK team given that we have zero returning players.

I like where we are at, at this point. The fact that we beat Duke & really did not play terrific, but got a good gut win really has escalated my expectations.

Doubt there are many teams with less than 4 losses.

Committe rewarded UK with a 3 seed last year despite 9 losses due to tough schedule we played. We did nothing with it but I wouldn't worry about not getting a top 3 seed if we finish with 8 losses heading into ncaa.
