Still some things to clean up but they showed grit and effort, JQ is an beast, and beat ole Ricky to boot.

That was a good win for sure. Lowe and JQ are difference makers. Hopefully Williams will build on this because he plays hard and defends.
Hell yeah it was. 2 Quad 1 wins in back-to-back games now. Beyond that, it was exciting to see the potential of this team once everyone is together on the court. Better think twice before driving in the lane on JQ!
Yup, we needed this end to December in the worst way! Now take this momentum and a real NBA player into the SEC and do some work.

I like having him in the lineup with his size. I just wish he could get his shot down. He would be really good if he shot consistently.

Pope made nice adjustments and the guys stepped up, especially Lowe, Oweh, Mo and JQ.

Very good win. Very clear the difference that actual talent makes. JQ changed the game both ends of the floor. Only elite players can change the whole feel / flow of the game, and he proved himself in 1 game. Keep it going and this team might do something after all.

Agreed. That one was almost as important for the team as the Indiana win. This one was away from Rupp, which is a big step. I was afraid we were about to hear that Lowe was gone for the season, with the way he ran off the floor in the first half. I was so relieved to see him come back in the 2nd half. And Quaintance was rusty at first, be he shook off the cobwebs and impressed me down the stretch.
There is no question, those 2 guys, Lowe and Quaintance, make a serious difference for this team. I've been saying this is a team full of role players and 6th men, and I'd say that's true for several of these guys. But those 2 guys are definitely starter material.

Unfortunately I feel like Lowe is one screen away from that. It sucks because our season again hangs on the shoulder of a guy who needs surgery most likely with no backup in sight.
JQ and Lowe make the rest of the team fit perfectly in place. We have a LOT of really good role players...which is ok, until they are thrust into a starring role. JQ is super strong, had great hands and footwork, the kid cam guard big or small. Lowe breaks down defenses, gets guys good looks, and makes shots. We are a very, very good team with those two on the court. We can play with anyone when they are.
By far, our most complete game this year. Credit goes to POPE, he had his players ready to hustle. I don't know what button he pushed but he seems to have everyone's attention. Did not see any slacking today. Good WIN.

Gritty and tough season saving performance! JQ is a beast and finishes strong in the paint and Lowe is the engine that makes us go. Outside shooting is obviously a concern, but when you play hard and tough the shots will eventually come. Need to whittle down the lineup and lets ball!
It always seems like we are a player or two short. What I wouldn't give to have gotten another point guard in the portal. Lowe showed me something today though. That was a gritty performance.
I think it was even bigger from the standpoint that JQ is back in action and made the difference in the game. Big win.
No worries, Jordan Smith. He visited us in the fall. He and collins are tearing it up down in ft Myers. I'd love to see pope down there but he looked absolutely exhausted in his press conference.
