Actually a good sign. We’re competing for top players. There’s going to be heated competition. Now we’ll see how good we’re are at landing some.
Lost one yesterday so I spoke too soon. NU also offered Jake West yesterday, a combo guard so they are starting to dig a little bit deeper.
Jayden Forsythe committed to Xavier. Also, Mason Blackwood who was listed as a visitor until recently is not coming and will chose between Rutgers and Penn State today.
My guess is these two hits prompted the latest offer. There is no real way to tell NU's interest or the players' interest one way or the other. In other words, Collins could have been sitting on this kids front lawn each morning for the relationship could have ended 6 weeks ago.
Phoenix Gill is already committed in this class, just need to add Koehler and West to complete it.
I think we will have at least five scholarships available and I expect at least one transfer if not two so I suspect we will need a large class and a couple more transfers.
Thought we had 5 openings. Sure seems like we have missed out on a lotta guys. Hopefully we can start landing a couple
Kayden Mingo mentioned in an interview dated 9/20 on another site that he still plans to visit NU.
Yep. This group of recruits included the best high school talent I have ever seen as a group. There is a reason the competition is at next level. All of them are typical Collins recruits in terms of rankings but the competition for them is stronger. Also, Collins is at a point where he gets some copy cat offers. Biggest competition for NU so far seems to be geography. Won with Gill but lost with a few other guys who wanted to be closer to home. We will see how this shakes out but the competition for a few of these guys is very strong.
