I definitely was wrong in thinking this wouldn't be a story unless NU made a decent run. Cats are all over the local media - I heard an interview with Brian Campbell of the Blackhawks asking if he was into march madness, he said he knows nothing about college basketball but that he would definitely be wearing purple. Even nationally CBS spent a lot of time on NU - should be great for recruiting

I'd like to think this will be a boon for recruiting as well... but ...

I'm getting annoyed by how often media pundits are making statements essentially assuming CCC is as good as gone. I understand the perspective, but I think they should do a little homework on what NU Athletics is investing in long term success before they write us off. How quickly they forget how Coach K became a legend. It wasn't by jumping ship as soon as he tasted success.

I have not seen any insinuations that CC is a candidate for other positions here in the West. He is not listed as a Wash candidate and I doubt he would go to Cal.

I missed that, but I wish I hadn't! Good 'ol Joe Branch! I remember you posting on The Purple Haze that KO once yelled at him, "No threes! Only Twos!" about his shooting during the pre-season exhibition game.
