The 'Cats will have to tidy things up on the turnover front, and get a more balanced effort out of the offense if they hope to mount a comeback.

9 turnovers by Cats in first half, 3 each by Joey VZ and BMac. Just one steal. Columbia was 7 of 17 beyond the arc.

Cats giving up a lot of second chances. Columbia on 9-0 run at 16:53, 44-32. At least They finally found Olah, who hit a shot jumper from base line. He has only taken two shots.

This team is terrible. I'm already sick of watching other teams outwork us. Columbia is in our grill on D whereas our guys just stand around in a soft 2-3 zone. Forget it. Its just bad basketball. I need a drink.

Pathetic. When your 7' center is having to shoot 12' jumpers something is wrong. Columbia dunking all over NU. Bad game for the Cats.

Olah just got blown by on a dunk by Petrasek and Olah gets the foul. Cats down 46-36 with pending free throw.

Somehow Cats still in striking distance despite turnovers and lackluster defense. Down 61-54 after Demps turnover at 7:59. Olah, Joey VZ and Lumpkin all with three fouls. Columbia's best player Maodo Lo been on the bench with four since 11:31.

Lo makes presence felt as soon as he returns and drives through middle of Cats defense for layup, putting his team up 71-63. BMac answers and now back to 6-point deficit. Collins calls TO at 3:31

Calzone is havng a Freshman game. Totally bused by a veteran Colombia team. Tap is what he is, and right now he is better than Scottie.

Finally the defense shows up and Demps hits Falzon for wide-open 3, his first basket of game. Cats down 71-68 at 2:56.

Falzon 1-3 in critical situation. Hits the first, but not second. 2.8 seconds left and Columbia needs a 3 to tie.
