I had the same thought. The Spartans haven't looked very Spartan-like this year, but NU just got blown out of its own building by Pitt.

MN should have walked thru the kid so the refs had to separate, show some roughness.

At the half, and I'm really impressed with how we bounced back from that Pitt loss. While I don't know if we can maintain the physicality (like, ouch Robbie's shoulder) - but we're getting deflections out there and making Sparty work.
Nicholson was tired and raised his arm so Collins would take him out.

Not sure why we are automatically doubling a couple of their bigs when they post up. Those guys aren't looking too dangerous. MSU has several baskets on drive and dish when our center leaves his man to challenge the guy with the ball.
He’s playing better than the other option at 5. Don’t let posters affect your opinion of him.
The post isn’t his game and he gets gassed easy leading to some bad plays. Overall though he’s a fine player for NU.

My gosh, that drive from Roper. Just seeing him assert himself on offense like that just gives me hope for the season.

I was getting mad that Collins was going to have Buie wait and go one on one and not start into the offense. We started the offense earlier and got a good shot. Great approach versus last year of running down the entire clock and then jacking a shot
Absolutely. He got 1v1 in the lane. Good thing his teammates believe in him more than the fan base.
The little trick was berry went and screened beran man, then beran went and screened for boo. Easy layup. Screen the screener
