Vote for the best moments at the Welsh since '83.

My personal choice for selfish reasons was January 26, 2005.

NO HEART!!!

My other vote went to the Fab Four defeat of '94.

I'm just a bit disappointed the Bob Knight/Kevin O'Neill undercard was not one of the choices.

Anyhow, it's an unfortunate list. Pretty sad.
I had to vote for the Cedric Neloms half-court heave to beat Illinois in 1992 because I was there for that game my senior year. However, it was a tough choice with the 1988 upset over Indiana in front of ESPN and Dick Vitale. That was a game I watched at home as a high school senior that sealed the deal for me as far as my college preference. That was the day I became an NU fan.

On edit: Wow, that means I am little over a year away from my 30th anniversary as an NU fan. I am going to have to celebrate that one. I hope we have a game. Can anyone else trace their fandom back to a single day?

Was the '88 game the infamous "hoosier Daddy" chant that Knight took umbrage with?

That was February 1999.

If I recall correctly, with about 30 seconds left, he then asked, rhetorically, "Who's your daddy now, motherf*ckers?"

What's unfortunate is that - in a program with absolutely zero accomplishments worth celebrating, they couldn't find it to add a single reference to Evan Eschmeyer - or even a season in which he played. Esch was an all-American, right? The only NBA player to finish at NU in the WR era?

There wasn't some game in which he scored 22 points 'leading NU on their way to their second (?)-ever postseason berth'?

To the extent that a stupid list like this can be a failure, that's a huge failure.

(Update: But the NC A&T win made it!)

If it covered back to the mid 70's I'd choose the moment Billy McKinney scored his 1900th point. The only detractor was that they stopped the game for State National Bank to announce the formation of a Billy McKinney Scholarship, funded initially with a Wheel Barrel filled with 1900 pennies. A Whopping $19. Wow!

That's easy. The day McIntosh committed
