Northwestern finally punched its ticket to bowl eligibility and completed its modern era Wrigley Field run with a win.

They face an Illinois team that was beaten in Madison last week. If the Cats win, they and the 21st ranked Illini would finish with identical 7-4 records and the Land of Lincoln Trophy would return to Evanston. The weather looks likely to favor the Cats' strength with the running game.

I think it’s more likely the game ends up in a -40 to -40 tie.

Illini looked listless last week against the Badgers, just don’t know how motivated their players will be against the Cats. Wind & weather a potential factor which hopefully helps our run gsme. Kickers will be busy. Unlike last week, this game should be a low scoring contest. Always a great way to end the season with a win against the Illini. The Hat comes back to the Cats!
