Numbers are indicating Stoops may be worst UK coach in modern history

Mark Stoops has won a grand total of 12 games, two games into his 4th year as head coach.
In all likelihood he will be extremely lucky to win 5 games this year.
This would give him a grand total of 17 wins in 4 years if he wins 5 games this year, which is by no means a given.

Bill Curry had a grand total of 17 wins at the close of his 4th year and actually made it to the Peach Bowl that year. He also did not have the luxury of playing a 12th game each year. Give Curry that extra cupcake game each year and he would probably be sitting at 21 wins at the close of his 4th year.

Joker Phillips had a grand total of 13 wins at the close of his 3rd season, which is 1 more than Mark Stoops at the same point in their tenure. That would mean Joker would have only needed to win 4 games this season to match Stoop's "best case scenario" total for this year.

As of this moment, Curry and Joker look better than Stoops, statistically speaking. Not a good sign.
Thanks Mitch.

Old enough
Not old enough to stop yourself from making childish remarks on a website. I understand you're mad and have a beef with Mitch - me too. But calling him childish names on a website isn't likely to help much - try emailing or sending a letter to Mitch. Better yet, email or send a letter to Dr. Capilouto or Brit Brockman with facts about Mitch's incompetence.

I'd agree with you if Mitch had shown fans the same courtesy. Instead he has repeatedly insulted and treated the fans with disdain, even telling you that you had an "agenda" if you wanted Joker gone. Wonder what he meant by that.

We have 2 easy wins now compared to the early 2000's and before.
We play a cupcake 12th game and we used to play IU as well as UL in ooc. We dropped iu and picked up another cupcake.

We have cupcakes all over the place on this 12 game schedule, not to mention an SEC East that been watered down more than Mitch's cosmopolitan.
Agreed...when you figure in Joker had to deal with Strong at UL, Franklin at Vandy, Mullen at Miss St, Meyer at UF, Mizzou won SEC and Spurrier at his best with USC...Stoops has had Strong/Petrino at UL, Mizzou on way down, Mason at Vandy, Mullen still as Miss St, Muschamp at UF and Spurrier on is way down at USCjr...

Stoops has really shown to be an uttter failure if this year goes the way of 3 wins.

I would say we are beating a dead horse here, which we are, it's a horse worth beating. Sadly this forum does nothing but allow the venting of frustration. Hopefully the fans stop going (I am) and turn commonwealth into a ghost town. I want stoops gone as bad as I wanted joker gone and I didn't think that was possible but stoops is one hell of a bad coach.

Let me put it another way. If Stoops cannot win at least 6 games this year, he will be the first coach since John Ray to not have at least one 6 win season in his first 4 years.

Peace

Baring a miraculous turnaround the attendance will be a disaster next year. My group of four (down from 12 ) two years ago have decided this season is it for us.

A partner of mine dropped his tickets several years ago but his diehard buddies kept theirs. They are now out for next year . If fans like us have had it I assure you there will be a bigger drop in season ticket sales than the fifteen thousand who left before jokers last season. Problem Is with the 18 million buyout there is no solution to give us even a glimmer of hope for at least six more years . I don't have six years to invest in promises, promises .

At this rate I'll be sitting on the 50 yard line next year.

And like many before you, you will wait for the good years to come around but how long will you pay what it takes to have great seats for a crappy product with no hope in sight?

We won't win five this year, that would mean beating three SEC teams, or upsetting UL, Bama or UT on the road. Nope.

Wow. It may be even worse than we even imagined. When you start setting negative records with the poor history of UK football, you are joining clubs you don't want to be in.
