I went to one of those places in Houston once. I actually thought it was a legit spot as it was right next to a Firehouse Subs. I walk in and there's 3 Asian women standing there in lingerie. I was nervous af as I remembered the Bob Kraft situation. So much so that I could hardly enjoy my hj.
Honest mistake. i’ve never had a firehouse sub.

Now that we’ve begun to undo stupid laws, like prohibition on marijuana, can we please decriminalize sex-for-hire?

If there was indeed human trafficking and/or illegal immigrants, that’s a separate legal issue. But arresting prostitutes and their customers is just plain dumb.
Your sexual indiscretions will be legal soon enough.:)

I'm sure a lot of people are unaware of this but many of these "businesses" are involved in human trafficking where woman mostly from overseas, are promised lucrative jobs, or even kidnapped, and then forced into prostitution. Since the article mentions the "tips" included human trafficking and illegal immigration, they may fall into that category.

I'm glad to see these outfits busted and if guilty of what they are being accused of I hope they are prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law.

Lol, "unaware". Come on man.

I use to cut out coupons from the Lexington Herald Leader for those places in Richmond in the late 90s.

Everyone knows about those type of places.

So you're saying you willingly did business with places where girls were kidnapped and forced to be sex slaves?

Driving a semi through Illinois once and had to stop for the night at a truck stop. Decided to do some laundry, which was upstairs. As I'm washing, an asian woman enters wearing a sheer negligee, bra and panties. She took everything off, and tossed it into the washing machine beside mine. We stood and chatted about nothing for a few minutes until her skimpy load was done. She donned her stuff and went back where she came from. Shortly another asian woman came over, and repeated the performance. Bizarre doesn't cover it.

Wild story I think I may have told before..

There was a Chinese mafia massacre by me about 7 years ago. I drive by the location every day. A man owned a Chinese takeout restaurant across the street from where he lived. It was apparently setup for him by the mafia, common with those restaurants. Apparently he owed quite a bit of money, and I believe ran some hidden gambling operations. Mafia had enough. Executed his entire family.

But they started with the two children first, then the wife. And then him. I know this because a good family friend was one of the first officers on scene (messed him up pretty bad of course). Forensics was able to determine how it went down. Tools were used. No guns.. Police and FBI were there every day for about a year it seems. They traced it to some mafia members in our area, and then traced it to NYC, and then the case completed died when it got back to China. Idk if it was just a dead end or if they just weren't going to work with the US government.

You can probably Google the story and read more. Albany NY Chinese restaurant massacre, or something.

Maybe if they legalized it and then taxed it they could keep the illegal sex trafficking out of it. Require all "massage" therapists to get a special ID that shows they are medically cleared and a legal of age US citizen. If they don't then you know you likely are involved in the sex trafficking industry by supporting it. Seems like it works for places where marijuana is legal and also places where prostitution is legal.

Why do they need to be a citizen to be a prostitute under this example you give?

Green card holders, for one example, are lawful permanent residents but not citizens. Why can't they be engaged in the prostitution business?

For one most of the sex trafficking in this country is from people being brought here from other countries. Then you also have a much harder time being able to verify their information. I'm sure a lot of them have forged paperwork. It's likely much harder to get away with that from a US citizen.

But how many people brought here for sex trafficking purposes are even here legally? Not trying to be an ***, I legit don't know.

I had contemplated a possible visit to the Somerset establishment, to maybe help with some aches and pains. Good thing I stayed away. Been my luck to have went in and they would be running an undercover Dateline investigation. Talking about embarrassing.
