Lol I guess you're right. But really it seems the divisions are quite unbalanced at least up top. If we are on the rise like I think we can help alleviate that

That is because you’re looking at history in the back of your mind...

Man, there have been some piss poor matchups in some of the conference championship games this year. Pitt in the ACC championship game with a 7-5 record, Northwestern has 4 losses, P12 had 2 teams with 3 losses going into the game.

I do think the top 3 teams in the east would have won the west this year. Wiscy falling on their face didn't help the west. Looking ahead I do see a bright future for us as well as Purdue. Time will tell

That’s life..
I wouldn’t throw NW to the curb next year a #1 QB that was on Clemson team transferred to NW earlier this fall. Hunter is his name..

Did not realize was that the one who threw the fit the week they played Syracuse? And then to top it off the starter got hurt that game iirc

Frankly, I think it's more media hyperbole. NW lost by 3 to Mich, always seems to beat MSU, Iowa blew the game in Happy Valley, Nebraska beat big bad MSU and arguably coulda/shouldla won @osu, Purdue throttled the champ.

Iowa, NW, Wisc, Nebraska(soon), and perhaps Purdue will never be gimmies for the best in the east...heck, even minny threw some haymakers against OSU.

And this is just this past year. It's much closer than pundits want to admit- this year, and in past years.Really the only imbalance is OSU and everyone else

But they're playoff worthy in a 8-team playoff format if they would have won those games...

Agreed, this year the west was closer and it appears the west should be able to get some wins next year. Purdue and Nebraska are on the rise, NW is always solid, Iowa solid. Wisconsin, they may be taking a step back, although with a QB, they could be dangerous too.
