Good read on Dom but there seem to be a number of places in that article where the writer takes shots at Kentucky when it has nothing to do with the subject of the article, didn't like that too much.

I have to admit, when I saw "NY Times", I thought it was a conveniently-timed Thamel piece...thankfully it wasn't.

Kentucky: where the 11th man on the bench gets a write up in the NYT. Take note, recruits.

Really nice story about a well spoken young man who represents not only UK, but the state of Kentucky very well. Saw an interview with him where the interviewer ask if someday he might take her job. He handled it well, but the answer was basically yes. He'll find a way. Guys like him always do. And just like Cal I've no doubt that if he's called upon over the next month he'll answer the call. Thanks for the link.

You just have to love that kid. I'm really, really proud of the person he is. I hope he reaches all his dreams.

Awesome article, I like Hawkins and am glad he's a part of the team. He's an important piece, even if he doesn't play and score the most.

Totally off topic point of contention: Feldhaus saying '92 was the last good team with a lot of Kentucky players. FWIW, our '97 team featured Epps, Padgett, Anderson, and Mills.

Thought it was interesting in the article where it said Cal told Dom's mom that he would be getting more playing time as a junior. Now I know it should make sense that a junior plays over a freshman at any other college, but not always at UK. So I wonder if Cal is actually planning to use him more and not go after a recruit for that position (which I guess would be pg for Dom, but we have already landed Briscoe). Cal thinking platoon again and Dom being a 2 guard?! Just an interesting part that I read and didn't understand how it would possibly work out.
