He's from Campbellsville. He's leading Justin Thomas, who is from Louisville but is an Alabama fan since he went there.

Earlier today, they said "two Kentucky boys at the top!" I'm sure anybody in Tennessee watching promptly puked.

Think Rory may be one to worry if JB. Justin has blown up with short putts. Wind is crazy

Last 2 holes right now on Golf Channel. Par 5, JB just pummelled his 330 and is in GO ZONE. The other 2 guys hit it all over the place. 1 shot lead.

LETS GO!

Don't know if it is still there but at the Wildcat club on Leestown road they have a parking spot reserved for him. It says reserved for JB Holmes the 2 time winner on the PGA tour.

I'm sure they updated it if it's still there, but he's won 4 times and he's in the fairway right now trying for his 5th.

It's still there. I saw it back in October. As for Justin Thomas, he is a pretty good kid, even though he is a UL and Bama fan. He won the Kentucky AJGA event at my club in Ashland. In fact, he won at Bellefonte two years, back to back. That being said, go JB.

Golf fans HATE HATE HATE Holmes for his slow play. Twitter is more about hating on JB than the finish of the tournament itself.

JB is very liked on tour by press and players. They do not like to play with him, he is a human rain out when he plays. He is slow. Most guys would be scorched by other players but JB is rare exception that most like him and give him his due. They all to a man hate playing with him just because he is so slow.

Yet he won today and they all lost and I bet he could give a flyin' flip as his new 13 month old boy ran to him after he won.

He is still slow as hell and others guys like him but hate playing with him. Not a debate. Glad he won but still slow which is what he is mainly known for other than changing his name from Jon Holmes to JB

Slow as hell and I am thrilled he won. Sorry but he can be slow if you did not hear this earlier.
Trying to put in relation with what the twitter world was doing to him, said he is slow but most of tour players like him which make it a rarity. Most don't like slow players and fact JB is a good guy makes it easier for them.

Yeah it’s still there. I played the UClub last summer. Great win for him today at one of the bigger non-major tournaments of the year and also qualifies him for the Masters.

Was great to see him win. Anybody saying "other players hate playing with him" are dumb. I'm sure they probably don't but why should he care? Most golfers don't give a dam about anybody but themselves so who cares what they think? He's smart enough to not worry about them and kicked their a$$es today.

Great win for JB. Nice to see him pick this win up after he got (rightfully) roasted last year after taking over 4 minutes to hit his 2nd on a par 5, needing eagle to make a playoff, and laying up. Today he stood over a 20 inch putt for 50 seconds. He’s obvioualy got some quirks going on that cause him to freeze sometimes. If he could work out that mental stuff he’d probably have a handful more wins and maybe even a major.

Interestingly, Thomas was one of the few guys to come to JB’s defense after that train wreck on 18 last year at the Farmers.

Justin really likes JB. He remembers when JB started on tour and let Justin play a practice round on the course when Justin was younger. You could see them talking while walking up the fairways today. Something you almost never see.

JT is a good dude as well. He is a Louisville and Bama guy as people said but I've had brews with him a few times, he looks exactly like Thomas Beisner too which was funny. JB's caddy played golf at NKU with my buddy and we've been out golfing with those guys too they're a hoot and can freaking stripe the ball. I'm like a 12 handicap my buddy that played at NKU is maybe a 1 or scratch and playing with Brandon JB's caddy is a different deal all together than even a scratch, I can't imagine playing with one of the tippy top pros.

This was a huge win for John.

He goes from 100 to 42 in the World Rankings.

It gets him into the no cut World Golf event in Mexico this week. It basically gets him into anything he wants to play.

He hasn’t exactly been on the golf map the last couple of years, so this really came out of nowhere.

Cool stuff. Congrats my man.

He is skipping the WGC event for a previously scheduled family vacation.
