Geez people, I'm pretty sure Gran had his mind elsewhere last week trying to prepare for a bowl game (albeit unsuccessfully). Plus he has to weigh his loyalty to Tubberville versus getting back into the SEC as well. He has been with Tubberville far longer than any time he has spent with Stoops. I'm sure a pay raise, and getting back to the SEC are a pretty big factor, but Loyalty and stability are as well. they also stated that UC was in some negotiations with Tubberville to extend more money towards assistants salaries. Gran may want to see where that leads before jumping ship. Its likely to take $700K or better for us to land him.

Well stated. I posted something similar in several other "Gran" threads. IMO, he does have other things to consider and accepting a UK offer is not necessarily an automatic yes. If UK does have to spend $700K or so PLUS make it a 2 or 3 year guarantee deal (often done with coordinator positions) where does that leave Elliot? Just saying'...

Where does that leave Eliot? Under contract.

just saying what exactly? If i had years more successful experience than a 1st stop coordinator in his 3rd year showing basically average results, then I'd expect to be paid more than him as well... just saying...

Totes, that's just Wildcard being Wildcard. Amazingly he's convinced people on this board that he's a fan of UK and UL. He's clearly all UL.

I love that "ignore" feature. Wildcard is and has been the biggest troll on this board.

Disagree, and I think he adds a lot of good info, although I do think he should change his name to Cardwild since jurich started his any and all tactics to win.

I'll tag back in here.

OCs and DCs typically have "comparable" wage scales unless one or the other is very well recognized within his specialty. JMO, but I don't think either Gran or Elliot meets that criteria. FWIW, Brown, Watson and Elliot all made almost exactly the same. Anyway, it is apparently a moot point as, per another thread, the deal has been worked out. Gran has put together some very good offense up at Cincy the past 3 years and looks to be a good hire for the Cats. And, as a bonus, he has considerable ST experience.
