vic hitting shots early obviously got everyone on the team going - but the offense looked way better (outside the press break). i forgot to tivo it so i couldn't re-watch but it looked like like the movement and passing was so much better than previous games from the clips that i saw

was it a result of just shots going in? better cuts? did we do something different? i was at a family get together and the game was on but could only watch a little bit at time

I think part of it was more off-ball movement and part was facing the worst defense in the conference.

A) Vic was playing out of his mind, even for pre-slump Vic.
B) They actually hit many of the 3s that are often open.
C) To be reasonable, Iowa didn't play anywhere near as well as they did at Indiana. EVERYTHING went NU's way until ...

Iowa played a lot like they did the first time around against us. They are not a great defensive team that fouls a lot, but the refs simply didn't call the fouls the first time around. It was a well-officiated this time, and not being able to grab us meant they were giving us a lot of wide-open looks, which, to our credit, we made.
