We are in great need of capable bodies on both the offensive and defensive lines. Losing our fringe offensive line commitments may hurt us because as it stands we have 2 commitments and we lose 2 to 3 offensive lineman. Bentley and Rudd could come in and challenge for playing time on the OL, but we've made it a situation where it's Bateman or bust. We can't miss on him or we are right back where we started with this line. People have thought about converting Hutch to OL, but with the loss of Deangelo Brown, followed by Drew Bailey and Deasian Richardson next year, it is apparent he is needed for the defensive line. We are also losing several rush ends this year or next with Hearns, Fields, and Young who are listed at LB but are basically Defensive ends. It appears Jabreel Stephens is our best option in this class but it is possible that both him and Clark may not crack the lineup for quite a while or ever. Someone had suggested we switch to a DB heavy defensive formation (4-2-5) and that may be our only option. Does anyone have word on the depth we have along the lines? The only guys I have confidence in coming in to replace what we have had are Chandler Jones and semi starter Kenny Thomas on the OL, and on the DL Chris Williams for one more year, Hutch, and GG Robinson for the future. The class of 2018 will need to be a year where we load up on quality Defensive Ends, and offensive linemen or we will be in serious trouble.

5 OL on the 2016 roster will not be at UL for 2017 methinks

It was sad watching Mahoni fall backward out of his stance. Sadder still that no one could beat him out.
Looks like we'll have to endure another year of Larry, Moe, Curly, Shemp, and Curly Joe along the OL.

Unless they can be actually "Coached Up"...........
