I'm sure @Joey Rupption has some random independent highly rated office chair. Mine is like 8 years old and pretty well toast. Looking for something pretty solid. Any recommendations?

I know we have at least a couple office chairs posting on the paddock, lets hear it.

If you figure out, let me know. I've had three in as many years and squirm all day. I like my job, but sitting at a desk all day can't be healthy...

Always wanted a good chair from The Healthy Back store in Lexington Green but they are basically $500 and up.

My brother has a Herman Miller Embody. He bought it about 6 years ago. $1200.....but he has no responsibilities in life.

I bet he has the ability to converse. Boom.

729 on amazon prime. Got solid reviews. Let's see. I knew joey would have the low down on office chairs. I know that dude so well and I only understand about 8% of his posts.

Bought a Raynor Ergohuman 3 years ago and it seems to be holding up much better than the Aeron it replaced. I'm guestimating it to be nearly twice as heavy as the Aeron and it has a higher quality feel- the seat is less rounded (cupped) so it seems you put less strain on it with movement. Replacement parts are readily available and reasonable.

I'm a corporate *****, so I don't shop for my own office furniture. I thought the prices in this thread were insane, so I looked up my own chair. It's around $800 [roll]I had no idea.

...and I'm still uncomfortable after about 6 hours :weary:

All my chairs in the office comes from Bizchair. If anyone complains, I'll get them one at Walmart.

Probably won't get 8 years out of this one like I did my <$100 Office Depot chair.

By all means be a cheapass with a piece of furniture you occupy longer per day than your own touching bed

(if you are an office cubicle puke stuck to a desk & computer from 8-5 M-F)

Well, I still prefer my cheap *** college/guest bed to our 2 year old expensive ******** mattress...obviously made the wrong purchase, but just sayin.

^ My office chair is worn in and comfortable as hell, guess I'm missing out.

^ My office chair ($100, I assume. Have no clue it's been so long) is worn in and comfortable as hell, maybe I'm missing out....but I highly doubt it.

Probably regret it but oh well. Mine is that same model and wore out. Figured I'd treat myself this time. If so my office assistant will have a really nice chair and I'll be back in a $60 job from Staples.

lol at all the poors in here priding themselves on their dollar store chairs. Plebs probably don't even have lumbar support.

Enjoy your k-mart chair at your particle board desk. Just a pack of unimpressive cubicle dwellers if you ask me. Enjoy under-achieving, while the rest of us continue making ergonomic power moves.

my office chair has a neck rest, optimal lumbar support, massage features (it just rumbles and vibrates really), Persian leather covering the finest memory foam cushions, has a trap door that opens underneath so when I have to **** I just drop my pants and the turd falls into a waste basket that recycles Mr. Hanky into a perfectly crisp 5 dollar bill, one arm that reaches up and wipes my *** for me and another arm that extends around the front and yanks my weasel when I see fit so I never have to take a minute away from my desk.

You're all really missing out. Bunch of damn homelesses.
No ***-wash feature? Tightwad.
