Ohio State can give PSU a challenge for the B1G. Depending on how things go in the NCAAs, maybe only Oklahoma State could be another challenger?

Saw that former Husker Lenny Pinto is only an 11 seed. I liked how exciting his matches were when here. But looks like we definitely upgraded at that weight class with Minto.

I’ll be surprised if the 2nd place team is within 45 points.

Hardy, Taylor, Minto, Allred, McDanel, and Ferrari all made the semis. Everyone else still alive in consolations.

Huskers in 4th place.

edit: 3rd place. My bad.

Excellent opportunity to qualify all 10 for nationals

Lamer is still wrestling out to 9th place (BIG has 9 allocated positions at 149)

good showing by the Husks
VanDee and Silas have forfeited the remainder of their matches---i dont know the reason for Allred but i believe VanDee sustained a concussion. --hopefully both heal quickly and fully.

so some points perhaps have been lost in regard to team standings.

Additionally, Minto was voted as outstanding wrestler for this afternoon's session.

What is McDanel’s ceiling? He’s wrestling at a high level for his age and weight class.

4x AA. Maybe even a national champ if he can upset Barr one year. Problem is Barr is also a sophomore as well and that dude is a whole nother level above the field right now. He’s bonus’d everyone this year if I heard correctly.
He also hasnt been able to breakthrough against Rademacher--definitely a 4 xAA and perhaps finalists

Standard Nebraska march performance smh
Certainly, fizzled on day 2. Not a terrible overall result though. likely Lamer will get the 10th qualifying spot at large. 5 BTN finalists. 116 points not bad--last year was 137 i believe. most of the Huskers are sitting nicely for good seeds at Nationals. the real difference from last year was we had 4 finalists and 2 champions. Minto and AJF were very close to getting us the 2 champions.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Lauridson qualify---good for him!

Very very pleased with Lauridsen’s performance this tournament. I’ve been critical of his season and said in one of the threads that I hoped this postseason would flip a switch for him and Araujo collegiately in terms of consistency and elevating their standard of wrestling. I believe they’re both key parts of the program’s future. Great rebounded performance for the 11th seed. If he can pile a couple wins at NCAA’s, I’ll back off on wanting a portal guy at 125.
