Official game day thread Duke vs Florida

Coming off a big win vs Arkansas we roll back home for another SEC game against the defending national champion. They are now ranked 15 but looked quite good last week. They probably have the strongest guards we’ve played so it’ll be interesting to see how boozer, foster, Evans play.

I think our backcourt will be fine, may get out scored but I think hold our own.

Their front court could cause problems. The starters are really good college players and know their roles.

Haugh is capable of 25 and 10 and if that happens it could be our first loss.

It’ll be a great test and a Duke win.

I actually think the guards we faced last week are far better- it’s Florida’s front court I’m worried about. Probably a game Big Pat gets into foul trouble so Maliq will need to play lockdown defense.

Will be an extremely close game and hopefully vintage crazies are out in full force tonight.

Their bigs are good, and Haugh is solid. So staying out of foul trouble is a must. Our guards will need to play well. They need to get into the lane, forcing them to help. We need to outrebound them too.

Florida was supposed to be elite this year. But their big time PG transfer from Princeton has been bad, except he played well last game.

They are deep in the front court, but not sure they have anyone strong enough to check Cam, Haugh is too thin.

Please no more slow starts. Would be great to be up 8 or so points at the under 12 TO.

This was as tough as I thought it would be. Our guards weren’t sharp offensively, which almost cost us. Evans had an off game shooting, but he isn’t afraid to take it with the game in doubt. Which is good, because we have to have someone to go to other than Cameron.

Note to Ngongba: no more 3’s in a tight game.

A win is a win. This team is 9-0. And going to get much better. I, for one, am glad we have the Slim Reaper on our team. There are negatives, but I'm going to bask in the glory of this win.

Is this our 4th quad 1 win already? Maybe Texas isn’t top 50 but nice wins that will help selection Sunday.

Ugly game that shouldn't have even been that close. Pat with a bone head 3 attempt then giving Fland an open 3. What do they say? Shooters shoot and that's what Evans did after going 0-7. We still can't be missing our free throws like this in tight games.
