See the post above yours. It's because our genius coach needed to keep BG in the game so he could get enough "highlights" to post on IG after the game. Hell, that may have even been part of the deal to retain him, as he can't recruit a lick.

Clueless

I would definitely not say he is clueless. He is slowly playing himself into game shape. He clearly has defensive and rebounding skills. Offensively, based on highlights from last year and what he's done so far for us, he appears to be limited to dunks and put-backs. Thus, his scoring potential is low, not a go-to guy, and you clearly do not want him on the foul line late in close games. Therefore, to my view, he is not special.
