Was arguing with a Curry slurper on a bachelor party this weekend.. it's always hysterical when you tell them that 2 seasons ago, Curry's team practically had the same percentage of wins/losses when he was playing, as when he wasn't playing. The year he played 5 games before a hand injury (one that he could have come back from, but decided to stay out), and with Klay also being out, Golden State went 15-50.. which is roughly still a 20-25 win season if it was a full 82 game season. Not terrible when you factor GSW was without Steph AND Klay. When Lebron left Cleveland, they were absolutely horrendous. Curry fans refuse to ackolwedge the fact that no other "star" player has been given a better situation and organization than Curry. Maybe Kobe.. but the difference there, the NBA wouldn't let him have CP3, while the NBA had no problem with Durant taking a 25% pay cut so Golden State could afford him and skirt the salary cap.
In 2022/23, Golden State was I believe dead even at .500 for the 22 games that Curry missed... their record on the season was 44-38 lol. He barely made a difference in their wins and losses.
The funny thing (and sad thing, for me as a Houston fan).. Golden State didn't even need Curry at all last night. They were winning that game with or without him. That simply doesn't happen to the real goats.
