Buddy Heild gonna bail out Steph Curry.

He will have eight games he can’t hit anything then one game he goes 7/9 from 3 and looks like an all star.

This is probably the type of game where the collective experience of a team like GSW, shines through and they take the series. Houston was the worst team in the league for 3 years running, only a season ago.. so they're very ahead of schedule here. But can't really expect them to do a whole lot in the playoffs in their first year being relevant beyond the All-star break.

Better hope GSW wins though, because you can kiss this thread goodbye if not, along with any sort of nothing that hes in any GOAT debate. It will be almost a running joke that someone would actually think this guy is the best player if he and Jimmy Butler can't get by a pretty raw and inexperienced Houston team.
Steph Curry gets hot late, hitting on 7 of his last 8 FGs. Steph's gravity opened things up for Hield. Look for Steph to own the Wolves like he always has. Steph Curry has some property in Houston; it's called the Houston Rockets. If you cannot score 90 points, you deserve to lose. Jalen Green is trash. Rockets need shooters and a go-to scorer if they want to really contend.....and avoid Steph Curry.

2015 - spanked by GSW
2016 - spanked by GSW (Curry was destroying them until he got hurt, missed three games, and Rockets still lose in 5)
2018 - Choked at home in Game 7 (shot 7 of 44 from the three - shades of UK vs WVA in 2010)
2019 - Steph Curry drops 33 on the Rockets' heads in the second half in a Game Six win without Durant
2025 - Choked at home again

Outside of the Hakeem years (only made possible by MJ retiring), the Rockets are nothing more than the Clippers/Blazers.

Warriors in 6 over Minny.

The fact that the Warriors were able to beat the Rockets in 5 games in 2016 with Curry missing 3 games on top of the fact that he wasn’t even the best player on his own team in this latest series…including in the deciding game 7…is further proof against Curry even remotely being in the discussion for GOAT.

Was arguing with a Curry slurper on a bachelor party this weekend.. it's always hysterical when you tell them that 2 seasons ago, Curry's team practically had the same percentage of wins/losses when he was playing, as when he wasn't playing. The year he played 5 games before a hand injury (one that he could have come back from, but decided to stay out), and with Klay also being out, Golden State went 15-50.. which is roughly still a 20-25 win season if it was a full 82 game season. Not terrible when you factor GSW was without Steph AND Klay. When Lebron left Cleveland, they were absolutely horrendous. Curry fans refuse to ackolwedge the fact that no other "star" player has been given a better situation and organization than Curry. Maybe Kobe.. but the difference there, the NBA wouldn't let him have CP3, while the NBA had no problem with Durant taking a 25% pay cut so Golden State could afford him and skirt the salary cap.

In 2022/23, Golden State was I believe dead even at .500 for the 22 games that Curry missed... their record on the season was 44-38 lol. He barely made a difference in their wins and losses.

The funny thing (and sad thing, for me as a Houston fan).. Golden State didn't even need Curry at all last night. They were winning that game with or without him. That simply doesn't happen to the real goats.

I don't want to jinx it.. but Minnesota is going to smash Golden State. Theres next to zero chance that GSW turns into any real threat to win this. They're only here because they got the perfect matchup with a Houston team thats brand new to this stage (and likely a bit overrated, when you think of guys like Jaken Green).

Gonna take a monumental effort for anyone to beat OKC.
Ya Cleveland looked invincible against the heat and Indy swiped game 1 at Cleveland - my only concern with okc is their inexperience and minn has beaten some really good teams the last 2 playoff seasons.

Didn’t you notice the regular season doesn’t matter? 2 and 3 in the west are gone!
Steph Curry is going cook the Wolves into oblivion. The Wolves cannot commit felonious assault on Steph like the Rockets did. Steph is gonna run wild. Also, the difference between the 2 seed and the 8 seed were like five games. It's fair to say that if the Warriors had Jimmy Butler, they would be the two seed in the West.

The regular season doesn’t matter - home teams are 0-3 so far in this round. You get way too worked up over meaningless regular season statistics.

Its Giannis or bust for Stephanie. Butler for a full season will help, but Curry isnt getting younger, and neither is Butler for that matter. They arent beating OKC, and they likely arent gonna beat a retooled Houston with KD or Denver.

Hard to put Curry in the top 10 when he doesn't come close to most of the others on the defensive side of the ball. It has and always will be my hang up with ranking him on any GOAT list. G(Shooters)OAT, obviously he belongs on that one.

No way do I put him above Kobe or Hakeem, who in my book is always one of the most underrated on any GOAT list.
