Not saying it’s the best one, but I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten as excited about a dunk as I did Grant Hills dunk against Kansas in the title game. That leap off the couch is my most impressive athletic move ever!!!
Agreed DukeFanKy, the thing about that jam was Grant's almost hanging in the air to dunk a ball where he was almost partially behind the backboard! OFC
And we were on the way to our first title!!
Harry’s dunk against UNC had me more hyped than any dunk in the past 20 seasons or so. I loved it for Duke, I loved it against UNC and most of all, I loved it for that kid with everything he went through.
Also up there on the list of underrated moments are Marshall Plumlee’s 3, Duhon’s coast to coast reverse layup winner and Dave McClure’s tip in on the clock error. The Reggie love rebound game was crazy too. Battier’s block on Joe Forte... the list goes on.
Summed up perfectly and the sequence of plays he made leading up to it. Nearly ran through a wall. Pretty sure my buddy’s arm is still bruised after that dunk.
Yea it was a crazy sequence. I believe there was a block then a steal then he got rewarded after running the floor. It was a little glimpse into what a healthy Giles would have been able to bring more frequently. Great sequence
I’m not sure Battier’s block and Duhon’s layup are underrated. Anything against UNC is big money IMO.
But those are two of my favorite plays of all time so I may be biased. Battier’s block is easily my favorite sports moment ever. With everything going into that game and the mass write off that happened when Boozer went down, that’s one of those “I remember where I was when it happened” moments.
You do throw a mean right hook. I’m pretty sure you gave me a nice left cross too during the Zion dunk against UVA.
Dude that dunk was insane, surprised we didn’t get tossed out of that place.
This one takes me back to a good place. A time when I thought we were gonna run through every team by 20 points, a time when I thought the season was gonna be magical. We absolutely abused San Diego State.
Did not read the entire thread but Gene Banks posterizing Ralph Sampson has to be remembered as among the best of all time
It absolutely is and was in the video if you saw it. It’s the only footage of Gene they had and per the podcast (hehe right @dbav), Kenny Dennard is the only person known to have it.
Dahntay Jones and Gerald Henderson though...damn.
MP3’s 3 is one of favorite Duke moments because the bench and every Duke fan there watching the game live went absolutely craY when he made that 3
My friend was there for that game . He's been a season ticket holder over 20 years and he said it was the loudest he ever heard Cameron. OFC
I was so angry when that happened and loved G stepping up. I lost it on that one and you know by his reaction it was personal.
