When his dad said the announcement would be a shocker I thought possibly FSU.Uk is definitely a shocker with them already having two small forwards,If They get Bamba that is going to be a very crowded front court
No, Knox is going to play sg according to him and Cal.
Knox is more of stretch four than a three or two. Vanderbilt I believe is a better small forward. Cal now has four guys that play the same position which causes chemistry issues as we say last year.
No ,Cal the one and done phenom coach told the kid he could play at sg. That's bigger then any NBA team I've ever seen.
I Could careless about Knox .im sure he's a great kid and no doubt a great talent and I wish him the best but it's Duval commiting and Jackson returning that is my main have to happen things along with 1 of our sophomore bench guys maybe 2 have to step up for us to be a final 4 caliber team ..It gets scarey thinking if they don't come ..we're a disaster ,but then you could look at it and say we'll at lest kids get to develope..fingers crossed ..if we have a down year the ol"coach k has lost it " threads will pour! Lol after a UNC title and slap on the wrist ...all this stuff..things could get rough lmao but I'll start worrying when 2 of those outcomes don't happen ..until then cheers Knox!

Not here to gloat guys. Most here know I'm respectful when I'm on your board. I'm just as shocked as everyone he chose uk. That said it makes me think diallo is seriously considering staying in the draft. You guys need Duvall more than anything. Plus if you get Jackson back to go with allen and Trent you could be deadly in the back court since Trent can play the 2/3 Jackson 1,2,3, duval 1,2 and allen 1,2,3. I think allen will play primarily off the ball this yr as Jackson is quicker but if you get Duvall that changes everything.having Trent, you won't miss Knox. Know is more of a 2/3 than a 4 and you guys have the best 4 in carter. Your biggest question mark is what will bolden add

And this is why people look crazy when they assume. I never said Javin was going to be a star. I don't think Knox is as good as people say. The more Javin plays now, the better he will be year 4. I'm thinking about his future success
He would of fit in perfectly at duke, but with Jackson possibly coming back and having Trent already it would of been tough for him. Sure he could of played the 4 but he's more of a 3 plus you have carter who's a stud. The good news is the cheats didn't get him. If you need a good laugh check out their scout board

A healthy Javin will surprise many. I trust Frank, Grayson and Jordan at the PG. Duval would be nice, but chemistry and being on the same page is much more important to Duke.
Last year was a reality check for the program, Bolden, Grayson, Frank and Carter are the only Alpha Dogs needed, not players 1 thru 10.
I gotta ask. Why do people think because other posters want to see player's play. That they are saying they are gonna be stars?

People forget it's not like K goes ten deep so Trent Jr and White and Javin have minutes they can earn.

Knox is as much of a four as Tatum is. He can play either. Also Vanderbilt, PJ and Knox can switch between the 3 and 4. Did Cal have chemistry issues any other time he has had a bunch of recruits? Doubt that will be a issues just like it wasn't any other time. Duke had chemistry issues because K isn't used to having that many young talented guys in today's game on top of not liking to play more than 7
I will give you Duke does not use a deep rotation, but please don't act like there are not chemistry issues at UK.
Tatum is way more skilled than Knox coming into college. Knox has issues creating his own shot and can't hit the outside jumper consistently. He is more athletic than Tatum. Knox is a power forward trying to play along the perimeter. He is athletic and will do well in a transition style offense that Kentucky runs.
He wouldn't be as great of a fit at Duke. He would play the four which would cause Carter Jr to play the 5 which he is not a center. Bolden a natural center will now play the 5 along with Carter Jr at the Power Forward.

The problem is Duke fans would be on the UK boards if Knox picked Duke. I mean UK has bad fans the same as Duke and all other fan bases. Everyone thinks Cal will have chemistry issues yet only one team has had issues since he's been at Kentucky! Plus there won't be a bunch of these kids that are one and done. If they are then Kentucky will have had a great year.... hopefully we will get to play you guys in the tournament!
