By the way, in case you missed it... UK is going to play 2 on Friday with game 1 at noon and then finish the series on Sunday. So, no Saturday games this weekend.
Same lineup as yesterday except for Liebert.
Ohio U is 4-5 with a pretty poor OC schedule so far.
Would have liked to see some mixing it up in RF today but I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record.....
It isn't that he keeps playing, but the fact that Mingione could move him to the 7 and Anu to the 4, but Mingione just won't do it.
This isn't a major problem if we keep winning. Where it could become a problem is if the team starts struggling to hit and win and Fogel keeps playing and hitting there. It is that sort of thing that can plant the seeds of resentment into a clubhouse.
Totally agree. He has a track record of this as we have seen the past 2 years at least.

I'm old school, winning baseball games comes down to pitching and defense. Both areas UK is lacking in at the moment.
Harper coming in now. UK looking for the experience to help here. Harper has struggled lately though.
Agree. Offense is fun but you can almost always rely on pitching and defense to carry you game to game. A lot of UK teams havent had that and so far this one hasn't found either consistently.
Might end up fun. This team has that propensity for comebacks. The question is whether UK can get a pitcher to come in and settle it down and go a few innings.

Anu with a single and Harris with a monster at bat, fouling off every 1-2 pitch possible. He then grounds into what should have been a double play. Cats got lucky they just dropped it.

Quick inning for UK pitching. I went to wash the dog and came back and the inning had ended. Still 7-1 through 4.1
Wow. Ritter lines one into center right at the CF and the CF slips and from his knees he lunges and keeps it off the turf for the second out. Routine out but the slip made it interesting.
8-2. Base hit and a fielder's choice to move him to second and then a single up the middle gets one back for Ohio.
Estep probably saves multiple runs that inning with his defense. He ended the inning with a diving grab to his right, pops up and races the runner to the bag for out 3.
There is a mercy rule in effect but we're still 4 runs from that, but interesting that we agreed to it.
