Everyone knew their schedule was a cakewalk, until the Sparty game. Cakewalk is over.

Bad news for KY. Just gives them more ammunition to use against KY in recruiting.
No it's not. The kids who want to go to Ohio state and are not offered can choose Kentucky. Will always be a Big 10 bias North of the Ohio River.

If they back into the playoffs somehow, it will be a crime. They have nothing even resembling a good win in 2015.

I think he's referring to Sparty......it's the second tier Big 10 teams that we are competing against for Ohio kids.

Hope Michigan puts the final touch on them.

Yep that would be nice. Then Mich would look back at the punt costing them a chance to play in Big 10 champ and possible playoffs.

Just tired of hearing all year Ohio St as one of the best teams of all time. Finally play a ranked team with their 2nd and 3rd team QB at home and lose.

You have to believe that kicker's grand children will hear about it until they are sick of it. In the end though they'll still love it. I have to admit I have no love for Ohio St. I hope Michigan does the same though I've cooled considerably on them since their new coach came to town. Not much love for him either.

Wonder how the comitee is going to try and fanagle them back into it.
tOSU got beat at home by a bad Va Tech team last year and the comittee but raped TCU and put them in for the sake of ratings, so I wouldn't count them out yet.

Sparty won with their 2nd string QB in Columbus. Pretty impressive.

ND just barely beat BC by 3, it's a damn shame the media slurp fest of the Irish will continue and they will be included in the playoff. They are the football version of Duke basketball.

Yeah, but they will probably lose at Stanford next week IMO. Probably get an Alabama, Clemson, MSU and OU playoff. Alabama has to really like its chances if that is the Final Four.

Michigan State seems to be just under the radar on the national scene, but can't understand why. Think they have the most wins in college football the last 4 years, have a hell of a defense, and are very very well coached. Who would want to play them in the playoff?

As for "no one can stand up to Bama", correct me if I am wrong, but didn't I hear that last year about this time?

Personally, Bama probably would be the favorite for the NC right now, but I would be worried about Oklahoma, if they beat Okie State, they are probably in, and would be another team I would not want to play right now.

OU is definitely a contender - with Baker Mayfield. No way in hell are they legit without him. Didn't score in the 2nd half when they had to go to their backup. Clemson's offense would give Bama fits as their scheme has always confounded Bama - multiple sets, mobile QB, downfield passing game. Not sure their D would hold up to the pounding they'd get but they would put some points on the board against Bama.

Kentucky would have already been bowl-eligible with Ohio State's schedule

Michigan State has beaten both Michigan and Ohio State on the road this season without leading for even one second of regulation time. Sparty was down throughout both games until the winning plays as time expired.

Yeah, I think MSU will be the 3 seed if they win out. They have two great road wins and will beat a potentially undefeated Iowa (Nebraska won't be easy for them) in the Big Ten championship game.

Agreed. MSU should get into the final four if they win out.

The top 4 I saw earlier today had Clemson, Bama, MichSt and OU as the top 4. Nothing official of course. Providing both win this weekend the Iowa/MichSt Big10 championship game was a play in game. Big12 may have played their way out of it yesterday. OU's loss is a bad loss to what may be a 4 win Texas team which would allow ND to slip in if they beat Stanford Saturday.

You are right about Clemson's offense being the type offense that has given Bama trouble over the years. OM did beat them with a similar offense this year, but it took 5 Bama turnovers, a fluke 70 yard TD pass that bounced off a helmet to a receiver away from the play and a no call on 3 linemen downfield 10 yards on a long TD pass. OM held on for a 6 point win, but it was a win, but it took a combination of several unusual events all going OM's way for them to hold on, and Bama was driving for the winning TD at the end. But back to Clemson's offense against Bama's defense, this is a different Bama defense, they have never been able to generate a pass rush with only 4 rushers, until this season, they get lots of pressure sending only 4 rushers, their secondary knows they don't have to cover for very long and play tight, which will hurt CU's horizonal passing game. Clemson doesn't have much of a running game and without a balanced attack Bama's DL which is the best in college football, hell their 2nd unit might be the 2nd best will eat up a running game and overwhelm Clemson's OL. That DL Bama has is just overpowering, all about 6'4" and in 310 to 320 range who can move. That Bama supplement program is amazing. Plus their LBs are so physical, sure Clemson could beat them, but like OM it would take a huge amount of strange events taking place, a better chance Watson doesn't finish the first half. Offensively there is the issue of getting Henry on the ground, CU would have to commit to that and hope Coker is off, no other way to stop them.
