OK...I have noticed something over the years.

It seems the football program implodes after Midnight Madness every year. I know the schedule gets harder, but does anyone else notice the decline in the level of play and attitude? I may be paranoid, but am I wrong? Is basketball the two-ton elephant in the room no one wants to mention?

In 2006, UK actually got better after Madness.

In 2007, UK beat #1 LSU the day after Madness.

You may have a valid point over the last 3-5 years though.

If UK played the meat of its SEC schedule to start the year, we wouldn't have stupid threads like this.

I don't think it has that much to do with madness, especially the last few years. We have played horrible down the stretch. Outside of the Georgia game, it's not like we have been playing the Carolina Panthers during that stretch. An average UT team has spanked us two years straight now. Outside of playing UofL close at the end of last year we haven't even been competitive during most of the games in the 2nd half of the season and that's against a SEC east that is down.
