Lol, potd1 year + monetary fine and limited to male masseuses only![]()
Dude… really??? He chose not to play last year. Word is it will be AT THE LEAST a year, and indefinitely… 4 cases still out there….. and the NFL has got to be wondering how many cases are still out thereConsidering he didn’t get to play last year I don’t see how you can suspend him for the season.
There isn’t going to be criminal charges. Just because the DA didn’t want to take up a case that’s prob hard to prove don’t make him innocent. And with all the back and forth she and ole rusty had, who knows what kind of okie doke they pulled. Did she really want to go up against a multi millionaire and a team of lawyers with pretty much he said she said? Nope, she wanted none of that, still don’t make him innocent. He will be suspended more than a season…. Bank itSix games. No criminal charges - which is a big thing because it was a grand jury that wouldn’t do it (and grand juries get all of the evidence, even stuff that may not be admissible in court). And with almost all the cases settling, they’ll clear the rest out soon and it will go away.
But six games sends a strong message without overreacting to allegations that aren’t criminal.

Freedom is no longer in vogue. Innocent until proven guilty is for me but not for you.I hope he's not suspended at all. Can't stand this stuff when a guy isn't charged with anything but leagues decide to punish them anyway.
We won't. I see it happening before the end of this year.Freedom is no longer in vogue. Innocent until proven guilty is for me but If we, as a Nation, make through the next 2 1/2 years without lead flying I will be amazed…and thankful !
Tell that to Jack Del Rio!I hope he's not suspended at all. Can't stand this stuff when a guy isn't charged with anything but leagues decide to punish them anyway.
Paying off 20 accusers is pretty incriminating and a strong sign of guilt. I can see paying off one accuser to get rid of a crazy/false mess but 20 gives it a different feel than "I'm innocent but I'm going to pay anyway.I thought the grand jury made the decision? Not the DA? That's what I remember from my law and order days.
Anyway, you're right that it doesn't make him innocent, but it's a lot better than criminally charged.
I have known folks who use that strategy to simply ”make it go away” However, in this case, it appears He is a few short.Paying off 20 accusers is pretty incriminating and a strong sign of guilt. It's reported that Watson and the NFLPA will sue the NFL in federal court if he is suspended for the season. And Watson would likely win. Two separate grand juries have looked at ALL the evidence (the vast majority of which the NFL has no idea about) and declined to bring charges. The NFL would have a tough task to show why they know more than 2 separate grand juries.
Also, is it true that the NFL sat him out last year? If true, I would think a full year of sitting out counts for something.
I wish he and Bill Cosby could go and share the same jail cell. So many midnight chloroform rapes, so little time.
Yep....as the old saying goes with a grand jury you can indict a ham sandwich. No, two grand juries refused to indict. And that's way bigger than a DA not wanting to take on a case.
With grand juries, the prosecutors get to show them all the available evidence under the sun (even if it would not be admissible in court). They usually have direct testimony from some of the accusers as well. Then, you only need a majority of the jurors (not unanimous) that believe that there is "probable cause" (not beyond a reasonable doubt) that a crime occurred.
I'm not saying he's innocent, but if you can't meet that standard of proof, then what can be proven? He's been out a year already based on accusations alone. The fact that a court (civil or criminal) will never hear this case, then what is the NFL going to go off of?
U & I think alike!……however for precautions sake u oughta be testedHe's probably getting a "happy ending" as we speak.
That's the spirit! And what I expected from this thread.I wish he and Bill Cosby could go and share the same jail cell. So many midnight chloroform rapes, so little time.
