Just saw Beric Jordan (125) and Hippolito (157) both MFF out of Tiger Style Tourney they in today. They were 2 of the better guys Oklahoma had that I was hoping to watch against Luke and Duke.

FYI, also, on Friday night, Remember the Match starts at 6:00pm at the BJC. Hockey across the street starts at 7:00 pm.
1st test of the season for SVN ( hopefully). It'll be interesting who's a go at 141, 157 and 197. Ready for the season to start, we are!

It's a beautiful Monday morning on the gulf coast - a dip in the weather pattern will bring temps down to the low 40s tonight for a day or two. The breeze this morning is carrying the plume of cigar smoke up and away quickly - it actually feels like wrestling season in Florida! The next few days in the home office will be as tough as the week leading up to the NCAAs - the anticipation for the boys in the white striped singlet is building!
I felt like last season was the icing on the cake for this dynasty - all 10 wrestlers stood on the podium for the first time ... to me - that is the ultimate team accomplishment! So - what do you put on icing? For a fat guy like me, it's usually the landing spot for a fork - but this 25-26 team isn't going to be stuck with a fork.
My wish for this season is for the team to stay healthy ... if they do - 10 AAs will come again! Let's go!

Looks like they have Marcus ranked #187 which is hilarious. Even funnier, they have PJ ranked #227.
Rumors were Wells would RS but he wrestled over the weekend at the tiger style invite and he beat Braun and also beat a guy who majored Braun. Looks like Braun hasn't developed into a D1 starter yet. I would look for Wells at 141. Wells actually ended up at MN because Nagao left. Wells was committed to D2 St Cloud and MN got him to flip once Nagao $ got freed up.

It's ridiculous, of course, but it's just the Wrestlestat algorithm that ranks guys with no college experience at the bottom. As they beginning to beat guys handily, they'll skyrocket up the Wrestlestat rankings.

Let's say for discussion purposes that this year's starter hasn't been chosen. Duke gets 5 matches without burning his shirt, so that's a free trial. But Kasak's first match burns his shirt.
Can a similar thing be said about Nagao/Davis?
Obviously not quite the same since Aaron isn't limited to 5 bouts, but might he be given a chance to show out before they pull Braeden's shirt?
Short of something drastic occurring, Davis will wear his shirt all season.

Typically, the previous season’s NCAA Championship banner is raised to the rafters in Rec Hall prior to the start of the season opening dual. I assume that this ceremony will take place at the first dual in Rec Hall this season since- I don’t believe- BJC doesn’t have any banners in the rafters…?
Yes they do. The championship banners are on the square light trusses above the video scoreboard.
Doubtful. Davis has a redshirt Nagao doesn’t. Also Nagao now healthy may be better. Kasak redshirting because he has one.
I hope he adds pins to his repertoire this year. I miss the pinfests of Nickal, Nolf and Zain.
