That was a hit below the belt.

You know what, I had a snappy comeback and I edited it out...but you are right. I read something from fitty about the offense not being designed for him but Mayfield and there is some validity to that.

So I will digress as I am sure he already doesn't feel good about what happened. Here is hoping he doesn't need to be put into the game again though.

Yeah, he really is not the qb I thought he was. Early in the season, BoB said something like, all 3 qbs could be the starter, (don't quote me on that)

Give Trevor a week's worth of first string reps, and I bet he does better.

Hell, we've all seen him do better. This was probably his worst game ever as a Sooner.

I'm hoping Mayfield is healed. No doubt this offense was tailor-made for him. But Trevor Knight is who he is...an inconsistent passer, who can get streaky, and has enough athleticism to run this offense if all else are healthy. He's had a lot of success before, not including the Alabama game. While I feel much more confident with Baker behind center, it's not as is Trevor hasn't performed under pressure before.

That's was just "coach speak" typical of Bob Stoops. If Cody Thomas isn't a better option than Trevor, OU is in trouble if Baker goes down again this year. And we are damn fortunate that Baker has been injury free up until last night. Otherwise we most likely wouldn't be playing for a B12 championship much less a playoff spot.

I agree that TK was a step down from Mayfield but w/ a week's work of practice and a softer defense than TCU, I'd like to think that he'll be better. Having said this, I do believe that the road to the final four will go through the Doctor's report on Mayfield.

Baker is perhaps more important to this team than Josh was to the national championship team. Josh had Nate Hybl, Patrick Fletcher and two freshmen backing him up...Jason White and Hunter Wall. Well, maybe not. Would we had won without Josh. Probably not. So my posts about Trevor's quarterbacking is more about how important Baker Mayfield is to this team. In my opinion, a school like OU should have Qbs better prepared like for example Baylor, OSU, or TCU.
