It went about the way I expected it to. A zillion yards a million points and 0 defense. Starting to feel bad for old man Ehlinger at this point though. Dude has been on the losing end of a lot of games where he helped them score 40-50 points but still lost lol.

Texas / OU was a battle to stay out of last with KU / TTU. Now both are just a step above. Oklahoma State is the only shot at playoffs for Big 12. But I don't see them going unbeaten. So they will need to depend on others.

B12 fans love offense. For the same reason, they hate Huggins' full-court press.

The only thing is as an observation, it seems that the energy it takes to run the Press, seems to even suffocate
West Virginia on the offensive end, itself.

Counter Productive

The Texas board seems to think Urban is coming to Austin.

I think Urban wants ND and is waiting for that to open up...but he could win a NC at Texas.

Nick Saban’s wife Terry spotted in Austin looking at a house. Done deal!

Right before we settled on Tom Herman or was it Charlie Strong?

The irony to that is Charlie Strong was the DC for Urb at FL and Tom Herman was the OC for Urb at Ohio State. Lesson should be quit hiring a coach just cause a guy is a successful coordinator (a great Mr Spock to James Kirk) or a successful at a G5 program. It’s a different world when the guy tries to be Captain James Tiberius Kirk.

Next they’ll try to hire Bob Stoops. After all he coached in Dallas (XFL) and loves TX and wants to come home

Bob Stoops would not be a bad hire for them. Would really and sparks and flames to the rivalry of OU and Texless.

Herman has lost 17 games already, in just his 5th year. I remember when the steers were trying to run Mack Brown out of town during the 2000's, and he only lost 17 games during the entire 2000's. Texas sports are a failure.

Counter productive? We seemed to win a lot of games with the press. Isn't the name of the game to score more points than your opponent? is a 100-99 W better than a 50-49 W? Do you think that UVA really cares that they are one of the lower scoring teams at 57 ppg vs Zags at 87ppg?

Well, if you like winning local, beating teams like Marshall -
then suffocating D and scoring 50s
or low 60s is fine.

Got to win 25+

There are 120 teams scoring between 69 and 72.9 ppg last year. Full 1/3 of the D1 teams. WVU is right in that mix. So????? Tell me again how this is counterproductive?

Post of the day

the part of this that’s so funny to me is Texas still thinks it just “Us and Oklahoma in the Big XII” and honestly as a WVU fan I’ll say naaahhh it has just been Oklahoma sprinkled with some TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma State since we got here.

Texas still thinks they’re a 10 when truth be told they got so much baggage they’re a 7 on the best day of the year.

You're entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts.
WVU avg score was 70.3 last year.
During the height of PressVirginia .... JC's SO, JR, SR year we won 26, 28, 26 games.

He would be a great hire. With that said, I truly believe the chances of that are the same as Steve Spurrier being the next coach at Florida State. Bob Stoops ain’t going to Texas unless it’s to kick their *** again. I think he’s done with college unless Notre Dame or Ohio State opened up & soon. There’s only 3 or 4 jobs better or on par with Oklahoma and I’d say they’re Florida, Ohio State, Alabama, and Notre Dame (only due to schedule control).

You don’t leave Oklahoma to go to Texas. That damn Bozz said it best “Burnt orange makes me puke.” I heard later he said “I’d like to do the world a favor and kill that Matthew McConaughey for those annoying Lincoln commercials.”

Jc is gone.
Press Virginia will never be the same, ever.

As for as scoring output,
WVU needs to hit those numbers during b12 conference play.

Not padding those numbers In December.

Ps...just saw the title and don't know how we got to basketball but so what
