Thought I'd give the school down south a proper one.

125: Christian Moody RSJR - Went 22-15 last season and was an NCAA qualifier where he went 0-2. Finished 6th at Big 12s.

133: Jake Rubio RSSR - Went 12-14 and did not qualify for Nationals.

141: Dom Demas RSFR - Went 8-6 last year in redshirt at 149. Demas will be the 65kg freestyle rep for the US at the 2018 Junior World Championships in Slovakia.

149 Davion Jeffries SR - Went 21-19 and was a National qualifier where he went 0-2. Finished 6th at Big 12s

157: Justin Thomas RSSO - Went 23-16 and did not qualify for Nationals.

165: Jeremy Thomas RSSO - Went 6-7 wrestling primarily as a backup.

174: Anthony Mantanona RSFR - Went 13-2 in redshirt last year. Won gold in freestyle at the Junior Pan American Championships and bronze in greco.

184: Kayne Macallum RSSR - Graduate transfer from Eastern Michigan. He went 18-15 and was a National qualifier where he went 1-2.

197: Jake Woodley RSFR - Could be Jake Boyd but Woodley seems more likely. Went 15-3 during redshirt last year and had wins over Boyd, Jacob Warner (Iowa), and Andrew Marsden.

HWT: Lance Dixon went 7-2 primarily as a backup. Had wins over Blake Andrews and his brother Brian (Wyoming). Not really sure why he didn't start last season.

Really only 3 conceivable threats in that lineup. Even with that said, can't see Demas, Mantanona or Woodley/Boyd beating our healthy starters. I know that Blaylock lost to Thomas last year, but that is the match he got hurt early.

Shutout time?

Seemed like several sooner starter went downhill last year. I hope they get better this season. Talked with some former sooner AAs last year and they were very upset with the program especially the single Bedlam dual.

They've got some good young guys but as far as Bedlam is concerned it looks like we will see similar scores as we have recently. Hard to see many wins for OU.

Litterell's retirement probably created a need and some scholly $ for them to go after Jacob Butler. He probably slides in at 141 next year and Demas goes 149.

Not our fault about the single dual.

I don't get that at all. The roster sucks. But Lou is a proven coach, he works his butt off and the OKRTC is a unique model that will breed in-line recruiting.

As to the, no home-and-home... Who cares? That's a thing of the past anyway. It doesn't make sense to schedule the same team twice in a season. And Roselli is right... Why would they do that when it's not competitive right now anyway?

You're absolutely correct on why the double dual was inefficient.

Man, this is awesome. Very much appreciate the info.

Is this just a SWAG on who's going to be starting, or is this from someone in the room?

Thank you very much. And no in have no insider knowledge whatsoever. I'm just deducing based on what I see on message boards, incumbent starters, and Wrestlestat.

Looked to see if the OU schedule was out and noticed that the updated roster has Boyd at 285. Dixon is no longer listed.

I was wondering if Boyd to heavyweight was a possibility. I know he wrestled freestyle up at 97kg.

Yeah, I think it's a good move. I believe Ross Larson was also a HS 195 that went up to heavy for them.

The other guy I noticed was Kyle Lawson. He might start over one of the Thomas twins.

Lawson’s the main reason I asked if he knew something, or was just putting pieces of the puzzle together. I suspect a few other potential changes as well.
