From Washington. Two year starter, 6’4” 300 lbs.
Will have two years eligibility at OU.
Good addition and a needed one as well.

6'4" 300...That's what I'm talking about! Lets get 4 or 5 more of those. Schmidt is going to work him harder than McKeefery did!

Hopefully he gets up to 320-330, we do not need another Byrd

Hatchett's weight at 302 lbs isn’t an issue.
What may be an issue is his pass blocking, which is why he was a part time starter the past two years.
He’s an excellent run blocker however.

UW's repeated failure to identify the DB blitz and just ignore/whiff on it was disturbing. Hopefully its just their OL coach and this kid isn't that bad on pass protection. Their sack numbers are low because Pennix is mobile and a master of getting rid of the ball, but the 2nd half of the NC was painful to watch when the UW O was out there; just zero adjustment to pick up the UM blitz.

Penix, looking like a should have been Heisman winner against Texas, couldn't hit the ocean from the beach in the NC game. And the Wolverines were allowed to hit his receivers like they were OSU playing in Stillwater.

Hatchett is much more known for his run blocking over his pass pro.
