Babatunde Oladotun, the No. 1 high school basketball player in the ESPN class of 2027, is reclassifying to the class of 2026 and will graduate in the spring from Blake High School in Maryland.

He is a good player, just not a high chance we land Tyran and Him. Pope was heavily recruiting Baba however, and the lead right now is probable Kentucky/Maryland from what Jacob and Aaron have said. I still think Pope will prioritize Tyran though.

JQ just turned 18 a few weeks ago... I would've been perfectly fine having him last year. Happier to have him him this year, the original plan was for him to come to UK for 2 years. He wasn't going to be eligible for the draft after 1 year

This recruitment will be very interesting because I always felt if he had stayed in the 27 class he would have committed to UK because Pope has been all over him.

I read an article that said we wanted him for 26 so this could be good news as well. Either way we need him, or Stokes to really amp up Pope’s recruiting prowess for freshman.

An intriguing player. Was just outside the top-5 in 2027 and moved into No. 13 in 2026. He is very thin and can make shots. Needs to work on more self creation and making plays off the bounce while tightening up the decision making. The shot making gives him a chance, with his positional size and intriguing fluidity.
