I am a negative person.

All I can remember is that Bob said we always played well in the Orange Bowl. Then 55-19 happened.

Not to mention several others. Man, I hope that I am wrong

I get that...

I find it helps to strive to live in the moment.

Bob's going to have to do an "eye bleach" after this year. He'll be seeing orange in his sleep. First Tennessee, next Texas, on to OSU, then seeing all these orange coats and receiving oranges as he departs the airplane. Next up he will see an orange clad Clemson team............Yuk!

You seem to be the one that can't "deal" with the reality of sports.

If it your bottom is still sore from over a decade ago, I recommend you find another past time.

Gosh, I remember when people used to say "Young man" to me.

It was usually the opening of me getting a good dressing down, but, still miss it a little.

So was he.

The funny part is that the loss to USC was my awakening to the reality of the truth "you can't win em all".

I hated seeing OU lose that way (I damaged a door and my metatarsals) but it growed me up. Hinging on the idea that your favorite sports team is invincible is a sure fire path to disappointment.

For me, it was a quote of a conversation between The King and Coach Stoops after the Sugar Bowl. Coach Switzer chided and reminded Coach Stoops how many NCs he DIDNT when when they were in position to.

I did want to choke BV when our defensive strategy was to play a zone and make them beat us passing. But I got over it.
