This team is playing with zero confidence which may be my greatest concern. I understand we have a load of injuries and the OL is hot poop but these are still highly talented players and the coaches can't get them to loosen up and just play ball. Every team besides Maine is going to be heavily favored and instead of using that as leverage to play with nothing to lose, it's permeating through the entire roster and we're extremely timid.

I hate what’s happening but I can’t turn my back on the program that has given me so many great memories for the last 66 years. BOOMER SOONER!!
I agree.
I thought it would take three years to rebuild the program through the 2024 season….to be SEC-ready by 2025.

Last Season was Fools Gold, easy schedule and still lost to Kansas and an average OSU.

Would you please wish for more than 35 next time!!!!!!!! 🤣
I haven’t watched the game yet but will later tonight. I did keep up with it and told my son in law “ Hey OU actually scored a TD in the 1st Qtr.” When I seen the haltime score I thought hey OU crossed the goal line twice. That made me think that OU had a chance.

45 minutes later all that was dashed when I looked at the score again. Did OU even come close to scoring in the second half?

They moved the ball well in periods throughout the game but when Ole Miss figured out all you had to do was rush 5 everything fell apart.

Its also become obvious that the defense still has holes on the back end and LBs in coverage. Billy Bowen has been bad this year. We never have a safety or CB near a WR when they're making the catch.

Im disgusted with the fact that this coaching staff is scared to play the young guys. This year is OVER!!! Start prepping for next season.
They've probably already announced internally that they're hitting the transfer portal. BV is probably playing with a very limited roster.

I anticipate a very unsettling off season. I can’t imagine what 2025 is going to look like when it’s all said and done. Tighten your seat belts, guys.

The defense has some occasional lapses, but they are good enough for this OU team to be a top 25 team if OU's offense had a pulse. Ole Miss was averaging 41 points per game, and once again OU's defense held them to 15 points below their season average.

Curious to know what OM avg is so far in Conference play. They were lighting up the Cream Puffs but since Conference Play started they have been pretty average.

Really needs to happen to get a Bowl so we get more time to develop and practice.
Didn’t they change the rules on that? I was thinking all teams now get those 2 weeks regardless? Maybe I was dreaming that.

This may not sit well, but through 9 weeks of practice they haven’t gotten better so not sure 2 extra weeks is going to help at this point.

Not sure, I watched Cale Gundy on the Oklahoma Breakdown and he said they need to get 6 wins for Bowl Elgibility and the extra practices. He could have mistaken tho.

Gundy is right

“No, college football teams that don't make a bowl game don't get extra practices. The NCAA allows bowl teams to practice up to 20 hours per week in the lead up to a bowl game. “

To add insult to injury, Ole Miss dropped a spot from 18th to 19th in the AP poll after beating OU.

OM made Arky look so bad in Fayetteville, that there are rumors that their HC won't coach the last game of the season. One of those other quality assistants, whose head guy status has been less than credible. Arky can scare a good team. And also lay an ostrich egg at least as much.

Pittman was forced to hire his replacement in the offseason, one Harley Riding lying Bobby Petrino.
Most Hog fans were pissed he was fired by Jeff Long. Jeff Long is long gone and they want Petrino to slide back in as HC. I bet it happens.

Makes some sense, though Petrino is a bad man to lead a program. He's almost as bad as Lebby's FIL. And not nearly as skillful. Briles pretty much invented the RPO. He certainly popularized it. If the Pigs go that way, I believe it will hurt them, longterm.

Arkie knows that but brought him back anyway. I get the feeling that if Pittman is let go and BP is not named the HC the fans will revolt.
