Looking back at the Kansas game, Providence, and UNC our team didn't take so many 3's especially in the first half. In fact, remember there were a couple games where everyone worried that the 3 record might end because there were either not many 3's attempted, or many missed. So, all of a sudden in the past two games, the team is taking a bunch. Part of the problem of course is zone defenses and sagging in the middle. But, it also seems that our offense shifted from effort to have multiple big men in the paint to a guard oriented offense. Is this the tweak? It has minimized second chance offensive rebounds, and a lot of standing around. There have also been zero lobs. Plus, because of the guards holding the ball longer, when a big man gets the ball they take a bad angle to the basket or rush the shot.
Also, on defense, we have given up multiple drives to the baskets for easy lay-ups. It again seems like the team is trying to emphasize blocking shots more than position defense.
Both issues seem like relatively easily correctable. Right?
