I heard some folks on the radio talking about some of the offensive lineman whose numbers are in the 60s, might want to find something else to do. I know Lee was getting zero protection on many throws, but who is the weakest link and who should be replaced? Thx.

62 Conrad is the weakest but Decker went down with injury. Gates has been pretty bad missing blocks and hurting the team with holding penalties. Foster was manhandled all night. Farmer also went down with injury.

Gates was a walking mistake last night, that’s for sure..

I really think if we fire Cav and bring in a new coach things will take off next year. Riley just needs more time to work out a few more kinks and we will get back to winning 7 games.

Yes, the Oline is awful in run blocking and has been for a very long time it seems. However pass protection, as a team has been pretty darn good and is the main reason T Lee has gotten progressively better and hasn't thrown picks. Look at the Ohio State game... that is the best collection of pass rushers in college football and we were able to protect T. Lee better in that game than I have seen any other team do against Ohio State after their loss to Oklahoma (better than Penn State). Run blocking and Pass blocking demand a different attitude which makes it difficult to switch between the two. Not making excuses, just saying the style of offense we run... you have to have special talent to make the run AND pass work well.

Its the inherent flaw to the Offensive system that we run. You have to be talented everywhere, which is why its going to be hard to hit on all cylinders against good defenses.

just replace every one of Rileys original staff and we'll be good

We don’t have to replace everyone. There’s at least 2 for sure that could be held onto. Keith Williams being clear cut number 1, we will not find a better WR coach then him. We have one of college footballs best with him. Donte Williams is another. He’s a young up and coming position coach and at the very worst case he could be lead recruiting coach if anything else. And yes, I’m still in Diacos corner. You don’t win the Broyles award and runner up the following year and not know what your doing. He’s a true proven DC. Are defense is just that big of a mess talent wise. Just go look what Diaco did at Notre Dame. Now the rest of the staff, starting with Cav, kick em out.

Doesn't really matter who the names are until we get a new OL coach. Every one of these players is regressing.
