Pelicans didn't look very good over all but were only -3 while he was on the court.Sanjay got 11 minutes tonight, but didn't score. 3 rebounds. http://www.espn.com/nba-summer-league/boxscore?gameId=400959191&league=nba-summer-las-vegas
What's the "closest" an NU player has gotten to the NBA since Eschmeyer? Shurna made it to training camp. I don't think anyone else has gotten past Summer League. Is that right?
Former NU player Geno Carlisle spent 6 games with the Portland Trailblazers during the 2004-05 season.
But what percentage of D-League players ever make an NBA roster? I think there's much more money to be made playing in Europe than languishing in the D-League.44% of NBA roster players spent time in the D League - very surprised. I would've guessed about half of that.
It's an interesting decision. Hearn is a call-up and a good week away from making a roster. A west coast team has two wings get hurt and need an emergency fill-in? Reno has a salty 6-5 bundle of energy available. A long shot, but a shot. But what percentage of D-League players ever make an NBA roster? Now the Gatorade League -- the G league. That's a personal choice too. Living in a foreign country is not for everyone - language, culture, food, racism can all be issues. If the dream is to play in the NBA, the D League is a decent option.

You are what your record says you are.Actually, you look at what talent Foster brought in to NU, and it's actually pretty impressive. Was actually closer than Carmody in that regards.
You are what your record says you are.
He just wasn't able to compete. He was not closer to anything than Carmody was. What a stupid comment. You certainly are. Just remarking that Foster did bring in sufficient talent to compete. He just wasn't able to retain it.

There is no way in which he could possibly compare favorably to Carmody, unless you - national championship-seeker - accept an average of 1.86 conference wins per season.
He was an awful, awful coach at Northwestern. Mentioning him in the same breath is an insult to Carmody.
Dig that record:
