NcaaT, SECT. If uk isn’t playing I could care less about college basketball. Early outs become a habit regardless of coach. That’s 6-7 years of fans who each year lower the expectations. Im not watching today. I don’t care which team wins. When we lose in the ncaat I won’t watch another game. I think alot of us are like this based on how quickly we can flip to off season mode and discuss the next season while the ncaaT is just getting started (the last 5-6 years). I wanted to poll and see who else tunes cbb out after we lose in tournament play.

I stop watching, yes.

I am confident, however, that we make the S16. The SEC is a monster - that tournament is essentially E8 or better competition (1 and 2 seeds from yesterday on). I just don't see the first two rounds of competition being anywhere near even Arkansas/OU SEC level.

So I think I'll be watching at least through Thurs/Friday two weeks from now.

No. The NCAA tournament is my favorite sporting even. It's one of my favorite entertainment forms.

I enjoy rooting against Duke, UNC, Kansas, Louisville, Tennessee, Indiana( in the rare year they make the tournament).

I enjoy rooting for my bracket picks. I enjoy the buzzer beaters. I enjoy wild swings in momentum. It's perfection when UK is still in it. It's still darn good when they're not.

I keep watching, but it's always bittersweet knowing UK has already gone down.

There's no better feeling knowing your team is still alive at the end of a big tournament day. Calipari made sure to keep us from having that feeling the last five years.

He was an absolute scoundrel for what he did to our program.

Because of NIL, we ll may be watching less going forward. Much more difficult to dominate with NIL dispersing talent. Much more difficult to retain the talent from one year to the next.

I will watch until after the final 4, who plays in the title game decides whether I watch it or not. Love March Madness it’s the greatest sporting event ever. Such good memories of being in High School and most teachers would roll in a TV and have the games on , skipping school some years to watch if KY had an early game.

Just curious. Do you do this in other sports? If your a bengals fan and they lose in first round of playoffs do you not watch the superbowl?

Hell no.

Auburn just flopped on a three and daily didn't buy it. If that were Travis Perry guarding, Auburn would be shooting three free throws.

I'm very weird when it comes to this I think lol.

I still watch in the end but it takes me a bit before I get back into it.

Case in point.......I normally watch the conference tournament games but after last night I kind of don't really have much interest in these semifinal games.

Yet by tomorrow, I suppose I'll watch the finals.

This is why I like if UK plays Friday/Sunday and late. That way if something happens like we get upset in the 2nd round, usually by the following Thursday I'm good to go again haha.

I tend to flip flop on this issue. After last night, I had no interest in watching the remaining SEC games….but, here I am watching UT/Auburn (at least for a bit).
Under these current circumstances, I find myself watching for someone to lose instead of rooting for someone to win.
Pathetic…..I know 🥴

That's another part to this. I can't necessarily "root" for anyone but UK (and Stjohns). I'm not sure I really sit there rooting for a team to lose either.

This is one of the few sports I can just sit and watch and have like no rooting interest.

I wouldn't even think about watching say an MLB playoff game that doesn't involve the Mets. So most of them lol.

I keep watching, because I love college basketball. However, I quit caring after Kentucky is out.

I’m glutton for punishment but I keep watching, begrudgingly. Only because I love college basketball and I love March. I swallow my pride and find someone to root for (mostly underdogs).

I had gotten to where I stopped watching after we lost when Cal was here because I knew it would be the SOS the next season.

I’m watching today and will continue watching the NCAAT because I have hope for improvement next season.

Good post. I will likely watch unless dook or some other school that nauseated me is making a run....😁

I keep watching if there’s a matchup I find interesting. Basketball to me is just filler till MLB starts. I enjoy UK but I’m not a diehard

Will say Pope has ignited more fire in me tho

Before I start this post, I want to say that I deeply and irrevocably resent the way ESPN sucks up to Duke and Cooper Flagg ! With that said ...

The NCAA tournament is also one of my favorite sporting events. I'll continue to pay attention to the tournament. I'll click on the ESPN website, and then on "Men's College B'ball", and then on "Scores" ... and I'll leave that page open all the time that I'm not busy doing something else. That's the quickest and easiest way I've found to keep up with what's going on in the NCAA basketball tournament, to the degree that I want to be current about what's happening.

I really don't put forth the emotional energy to "root against" Duke, Kansas, Louisville, Tennessee, or Dan Hurley - but it always brings a welcomed smile to my face when I see one of those getting beat. (I don't live in Louisville, and never have, so Indiana is a non-entity for me. I'll go to my grave despising Bobby Knight, but I really think the anti-Indiana sentiment is pretty much limited to UK fans who grew up in, or now live in, the Louisville metro area or in one of the Kentucky counties on the Ohio River east of Paducah and west of Maysville ... but I digress.)

I also enjoy the buzzer beaters, etc. Particularly when I notice that one of the aforementioned teams has lost at the buzzer, I'll find the video as soon as I can (usually always available pretty quickly on EPSN's website), and relive the enjoyment for one or two refreshes of the villain's downfall.

And with all of the foregoing - always at least subliminally thinking ... GO 'CATS !

I ONLY watch to pull for our rivals to LOSE!!!

That's hard today because I can't stand ANY of the teams remaining in the SEC Tournament!!!!

I want the roof to cave in in the ACC Tournament!!! And Arizona to lose in the Big 12.

If it's a painful/annoying loss, I'll take a little break. If my expectations are low and we lose...like it has been for about 6-7 years now...I'll keep watching.

NCAA, yes. SEC…not necessarily. I don’t enjoy it as much, but I’m still interested all weekend.

If we lose early in the NCAA, sometimes I’ll watch some games after a week off. This is especially true if we are like an 8 seed and my expectations were low going in.

If we we're the favorite and lost I may stop watching, but I didn't think we were going to win it this year so I'm still watching

Depending on whose playing I'll keep watching. This year has renewed my interest in not only UK basketball but also college basketball as well. The Covid ordeal and UK sucking the past four years had my fandom on it's last breath.

A lot of you should probably keep watching. A little knowledge and a perspective outside of all things UK might be a good thing. Maybe things like advocating for the team that tied for 6th place in the conference having 3/15ths of the all conference team wouldn’t be a topic of conversation. 😎
