I have been looking forward to this for years. I don't know WTF Petra is but it has to be awesome.

Anyone else planning on going?

Anyone else been to Petra? The one in Jordan near the Red Sea? One of those places that is more spectacular than in looks in photos.

I say you cross the river to the west and see the Juggalos. Insane Clown Posse needs you people.

Feels like the ad for that thing has been here for 7 years. No doubt it will remain once the event is over too. It's the cat paw way.

Multiple times, amazing place. Although the first time we went I was 10 and Indiana Jones and the last crusade came out and I was very disappointed that there wasnt anything inside of it, just an empty room.

At this point, I hope it never goes away. Like "UK Rocks!", "Who cares about Minnesucka", etc., somethings are just Paddock institutions.

I clicked the banner, and it seems like some low-scale Christian rock show. I don't know how they afforded a banner on a website with this much traffic, but they sure as **** got their money's worth.

Petra was actually considered pretty good music before COntemp Christian music discovered the dreaded "Women 18-54 formula". Btw, thanks for ruining radio, bitches

A co-worker of mine is super religious and listens to that stuff. He even goes to Christian music festivals. He said Petra is like a chameleon, meaning they could change their sound to hop on trends. On one hand that's impressive because you're versatile, on the other it's sad because you're essentially a cover band without your own style.

I'm a metal head. My wife came home from a yard sale once with some "metal" CDs. She was excited about it. It was Christian metal, and that stuff sucked ***. I still make fun of her about it. Christian metal is like veggie burgers: What's the point?

The women 18-54 demo ruined everything. All music that tries to draw that demo is generally ******, 3.5 minutes long and only focuses on love/relationships.

DC Talk was that way too. They started out sounding like white LL Cool J and ended up with basically a grunge album.
