Every loss was single digits with the exception of the game at Illinois (which we properly atoned for later). NU was competitive in every game but one all year. Not many teams can make that claim.

Yes, the competitiveness has been huge & impressive. So has the resilience. In big spots, this team has won key games, in the face of adversity. A pleasure to root for this group.

Very competitive team. If we did not lose Berry & Donaldson we would have been very competitive in the BTT (conceivably we could have won it) and probably a Sweet 16 team

Because of all of those close losses, we were incredibly close to a magical 15-5 or 16-4 type season in the Big 10. But 12-8 (and tied for third) is still a fantastic achievement, especially considering the injuries. And it resulted in a tourney berth which is the main thing and something not to be taken for granted by any NU fan.

I believe Illinois and Duke were the only two teams this season to not lose a game by 10 or more.

They are so resilient and such a good group of guys. I have a feeling we will have a lot of casual fans pulling for us.
