I'm sure Bobby has already contacted them. It's hilarious, even national writers immediately go to twitter to laugh at this whenever a wayward "free agent" hits the market.

Unfortunately, where it counts, they have been superior to us in recent years. Pretty sad when our only claim to glory is that we have nice guys on the team.

For those of you too young to remember, IMO the best team in Ky history was Fran Curci's 1977 team. That team wasn't made up of choir boys, but I don't recall anyone having a problem with that while we were humiliating other teams.

We need players that don't go crazy, but live on the edge...we need players with swagger or attitude as it was called back in the 80's and early 90's. We need Coach Thomas to project and instill the attitude of "The U" on this team and future players. I want a team that knows they are good and are confident in their abilities and don't hold back. They need to play with a huge chip on their shoulders, and leave nothing to chance.

It's been a while but I don't remember any criminal transfers on his team.

Because only teams that lack character can win. I guess Ram drools, too.

Nah, but I do get really excited dreaming of having a Football team that has a swagger, that intimidate on the field and have an "in your face" attitude along with a coach that demands proper behavior (I think we have one) but is also confident enough in his abilities to control his players that he is not afraid to take on a kid that another coach couldn't handle if he thinks it can help his team win. I'd be the first to agree that Petrino has a terrible behavior record. I also understand why mb didn't want to hire Petrino, but it's as much an indictment on his lack of confidence in his own ability to reign in such a coach as it was in Petrino's behavior.

I hope MS is the man but regardless of how well his players conduct themselves, if he doesn't win, he's not.

Criminal behavior does not produce winning swagger. Swagger can come without recruiting thugs. And, the recruitment of players kicked off other team really is not about Petrino's personal behavior. That is a different thread.

It will be interesting to see if UL can beat the teams this year that are also in the top 25 on their schedule or that have records over .500. That will put Petrino into the discussion with their last coach, even though many fans seem to think he is better.

Mario Bienvides said this UL team is as talented and deep as any. So, BP should have UL at their highest point if he is the coach you seem to think he is. Time will tell.
