No big deal.....she most likely will be drained from the swamp very shortly.......and a big good riddance.

It's a yuge deal. She may get canned but it is extremely rare that the AG goes against the Prez. And btw, conservative attorney Dershowitz is recommending against Trump firing her.

She hasn't gone against her Prez.....that makes her even more disgusting. Alan Dershowitz is a conservative attorney? Let me help you out on that claim.....Dershowitz is political liberal and an avowed supporter of the Democratic Party, Dershowitz endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2008 and later endorsed Obama. In 2012, he strongly supported Barack Obama.

On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz reacted to Acting Attorney General Sally Yates’ announcement that the DOJ will not present arguments in defense of President Trump’s immigration order by saying Yates made a “serious mistake” and has “made a political decision, rather than a legal one.
Dershowitz stated Trump should “just ignore” Yates and ask the court to appoint a special defense attorney to defend the order, because the president “has a right to have his actions defended.

He has defended torture and has openly attacked Jimmy Carter.
He calls like he sees it regardless of the party line.
Maybe this is more of what you expect out of your fellow party members.

If you don't know Alan Dershowitz is a liberal you shouldn't evoke his name. BTW, I agree with the OJ defender in this case. I think the President should wait out the Sessions confirmation.

BTW means 'by the way,' English Professor countryroads89.

She serves at the will of the President. She can be fired for wearing blue.

Wrong. She serves the people of the United States. It is her job as AG to advise the President when he is legally wrong. That means that sometimes she disagrees with him.

Oh dave, you are precious.

You think the AG "serves the will of the President".

You think the AG "can be fired for wearing blue".

You have taken so many beatings today.

Statement on the Appointment of Dana Boente as Acting Attorney General

The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States. This order was approved as to form and legality by the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel.

Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.

It is time to get serious about protecting our country. Calling for tougher vetting for individuals travelling from seven dangerous places is not extreme. It is reasonable and necessary to protect our country.

Tonight, President Trump relieved Ms. Yates of her duties and subsequently named Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to serve as Acting Attorney General until Senator Jeff Sessions is finally confirmed by the Senate, where he is being wrongly held up by Democrat senators for strictly political reasons.

“I am honored to serve President Trump in this role until Senator Sessions is confirmed. I will defend and enforce the laws of our country to ensure that our people and our nation are protected,” said Dana Boente, Acting Attorney General.

The Judiciary Act of 1789 created the Office of the Attorney General which evolved over the years into the head of the Department of Justice and chief law enforcement officer of the Federal Government. The Attorney General represents the United States in legal matters generally and gives advice and opinions to the President and to the heads of the executive departments of the Government when so requested. In matters of exceptional gravity or importance the Attorney General appears in person before the Supreme Court. Since the 1870 Act that established the Department of Justice as an executive department of the government of the United States, the Attorney General has guided the world's largest law office and the central agency for enforcement of federal laws.

"The AG represents the US" not the President "and gives advice and opinions to the President".

You struggle with facts. I have never seen in my life anyone like you that just begs to be continually humiliated.
