Looking at Ohio State's history, the Buckeyes have not played a team with an offense like those in the Big 12, and especially OU's, at least during the past ten years.

I dunno man, they played Oregon in the 2014 National Title game, and Oregon's offense was pretty viscous!!! That Oregon team averaged like 50pts a game that season, and Ohio State held them to 20pts.

That's the first thing that came to my mind, too. I also remember Kevin Wilson's Indiana squad scoring a bunch on them last year or the year before. While I haven't watched them, I suspect they'd be similar to a B12 offense. But it's a different year and different teams. The Buckeyes have looked really good, so far, and have a great quarterback. I expect them to put a lot of stress on our defense and I expect us to have a lot of trouble at the LOS on both sides of the ball. Just based on what I've seen the first two weeks, I'm not optimistic about this one.

Good point, BR, and OU's receiving corps is not as good as Oregon's was...but Oregon did not have a 1-2 punch at running back the equal of Perine and Mixon. Westbrook and Andrews look to be very busy on Saturday.

OSU's D has faired well against spread type offenses. As mentioned they did well in the 2014 NC Game and with other similar opponents. Of course, most of those players are gone. Tulsa was supposed to be able to move the ball and score some points with their Baylor style of offense. Granted much less physically talented than Oklahoma.

Two concerns as an OSU fan. One, the offensive line is still a work in progress as is typical with lines with a majority of new starters. Secondly, Dante Booker, one of the starting linebackers has been out since early in the first game due to a sprained MCL.

His replacement is Joe Burger, a former walk-on who is now a senior. As typical with those type of players, he's fundamentally sound and tough. But lacks the speed, especially laterally. If he's playing most if not all of the game there may be an opportunity for you guys to get outside of him for gains.

I think Baker started and got most of the reps this week over Burger

This isn't the same OSU D they are really young and have not played in an environment they will see Saturday night. I have a feeling they are walking into a hornets nest especially being favored. I was not impressed with Ohio St at all against TU especially on offense.

Vicious? I was trying to figure out what that would mean for an offense to be viscous and then decided that you probably meant vicious.

Oh, I thought he meant they were slippery as oil! :D

Actually, I'm glad they're coming in favored, not that it matters to the coaches and players. Still, I hope the Sooners use it as motivation for the game!

I thought about that too, but then I thought you'd have to say less viscous to imply moving with ease. Something viscous wouldn't flow easily.

It definitely looks like their QB is still learning, so that gives me high hope.

High hopes? I used to have those. I hoped someone would have a joint so we could get high, high, high....
