Just wondered if any of you are going down to watch the games this weekend. Wife and I are going (she is originally from Hoptown) and staying at Lake Barkley. Makes for a good late winter getaway.

Spent a lot of time in that area as a youngster. My parents are from Waverly, Tn. and my uncle was a coach at Clarksville Academy. Take your fishing rod, the crappie may be biting.

Hadn't even thought about that. Great suggestion!

Just saw UT-Martin has already canceled their home series due to impending weather... wonder if there are thoughts of this at AP

After MAYHOO reminded me about the fishing we are going regardless. Saturday shows a 10% chance of showers. Just had new string put on three of my reels.

I saw 60% chance of scattered showers on Friday, and slight chances on sat and sun

Wouldn't surprise me if they did a double header on Saturday and then tried to finish it out on Sunday.

I know scheduling is difficult, but can someone tell me why UK is opening up with AP? Usually a much warmer opener farther south.

I feel like there was some sort of scheduling error or something and this was a late addition. I could be wrong though.

We've often started the season in Spartanburg, which isn't much further South. 2 years ago it was Chapel Hill. I would like to see starting the season in Charleston, or some place similar. But Ming knows that we'll have to play in cold weather so might as well start in cold weather. And he likes to take early season road trips for team bonding.

I was at the games in Spartanburg last season. Friday was nice, the other days not so much. I was hoping ( selfish reasons ) they would be down this way to open the season again since I live an hour from Spartanburg. LOL

I was at that series also. Think the next week wife and I flew to Houston for that series. I always look forward to the start of college baseball season.

If I remember, UK was actually scheduled to play in another weekend tournament this season but it was cancelled at the last moment. I was thinking it was on the west coast. Then they had to scramble for another opponent.
