What in the world is going on with the ACC scheduling a Conference game in August?

I guess it’s more of a TV draw watching Clemson beat Georgia Tech than it is seeing them destroy Furman but I don’t like anything about it.

Clemson could have some juicy non-con matchups with...
Georgia
Oklahoma
Oregon
Michigan
UCF
Those games would be fun and get good ratings.

I’ll give Clemson credit though for doing an early season home and home the last 4 years with Auburn and Texas A&M.

I can’t imagine any coach wanting a Conference game in August. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t even like seeing NFL division games on the opening weekend.
