Oregon 3-3

Not sure what the obsession is with Oregon's record? Is this supposed to be a reflection of Frost's coaching? If so, then I'd suggest that you take a look at how his unit, the offense, is doing. I know that I'd be happy with an offense that's Top 10 nationally in total yards per game, rushing yards per game and points per game.

If you want to know why Oregon is 3-3, all you need to do is look at their D.

Offense isn't the problem in Eugene, it's the defense.

Disagree.

The Buckeyes gave the rest of the collegiate world the road map to defeating the Ducks.

In OSU's case they were able to turn the ball over 4 times and still blow out the Ducks.

Rutgers gave MSU a better fight tonight than the Duck's could muster last month.

The magic is gone. The Duck's are done.

Oregon's offense is still in the Top 10 in about every major category. Hard to blame Frost for their record so far.

"Disagree"? All evidence points to you being wrong. Oregon's O is in the Top 10 nationally, while their D is 104th.

On an interesting side note, Oregon State's D was ranked 74th last year and our D is currently ranked 102nd. So far this year, Oregon State's D is ranked 34th. I guess OSU's D got an upgrade in talent???

You pretent that each sides' performance is mutually exclusive.

The field positioned gained, or surrendered impacts the other.

Don't you agree?

I'm not sure what point you're trying to convey? The bottom line is that Oregon's offense is doing their part, it's the defense that is giving up more yards and points per game than the vast majority of teams (they rank near the bottom in both nationally).

Oregon is a different team without Vernon Adams. He's only played one quarter (vs. Utah) since the MSU game. So much of their offense is predicated on having a play maker at QB and Lockie (backup QB) is not a playmaker. He even got benched a few weeks ago vs. Colorado.

So, field position doesn't matter?

I've watched all of Oregon's games YTD.

Have you?

Yep they are trying to replace their best QB in school history (Mariota), the fact that they still have a Top Ten offense with a scrub is actually impressive. Meanwhile our veteran QB has not shown much improvement under the tutelage of the QB gurus Riley and Langsdorf.

So you are saying that Oregon, with all of their advantages still have to rebuild with sometimes embarrassing results.

However, it's unacceptable when applied to The Huskers?

Their offense has not had embarrassing results, they are statistically one of the best units in the nation. Frost has nothing to do with the defense.

He does have something to do with the field position that he gives the defense.

If you've been watching their games this year you would understand that he has some issues.

1. The talent level of Oregon and Nebraska isn't close
2. As of today TA was the top qb in the entire BIG. That's astonishing.
3. LANGS can coach circles around Frost. You can bank on that.

Seriously, what is your point? With a weak D that gives up tons of yards, your O is often starting with poor field position. Even with this disadvantage, Oregon's O is still gaining yards and putting up points at a Top 10 pace.

I think some of you may have hit the bottle a bit too much this evening. How can you justify that statement?

After a quick search, here's what I've found...

Langsdorf: OC at OSU from 2005-2013 and currently at NU. Here's how his offenses have ranked nationally:

2005 - 34th
2006 - 45th
2007 - 78th
2008 - 30th
2009 - 34th
2010 - 94th
2011 - 73rd
2012 - 43rd
2013 - 86th
2015 - 25th currently

Meanwhile, Frost has been the OC at Oregon since 2013. Here's how his offenses have done nationally:

2013 - 2nd
2014 - 3rd
2015 - 9th

9 years at OSU and Danny L was never able to field at Top 25 offense? Clearly someone who can coach circles around Frost (roll eyes).
