Probably better if Arizona wins, that way it makes the battle for the 2 #1 seeds other than UK and Villanova harder for the committee.
Arizona being a 1 is terrible for UK. So it is no way better if they win. Arizona being a 1 eliminates Gonzaga as a possibility for UK and probably results in UK getting Duke, UVA or Wisconsin as its 2 seed.
Arizona vs. Kentucky for the championship, both number one seeds, would be epic.

Doesn't matter what we think, Arizona believes they are deserving of a 1. They need to win this game to further that argument whether it's one they win it or not. Either way if they make it there they are playing a regional final in LA. Advantage them. Sometimes geography really does work for you.

You are 100% right, but as you mentioned they are getting the home court advantage over whoever is their 1 regardless so Arizona is by far the team hurt the least by being a 2 seed IMO. And their losses and weak conference eliminate them from any real consideration in anyone's eyes I'd say. It's just a tough year to get a 1...if UK had lost a couple of those close games in SEC play even we'd not be 100% the top 1, but UK won the games, while Arizona and everyone else lost them.
And Mandu, you are right as well...and I think MSU is a great match up for Wisconsin. They caught a break with Maryland losing.
